Hi, during the process of installing macOS Sierra, 10.12.3, I tried numerous Wi-Fi cards mentioned on this tonymac site, until I discovered one that worked, 4353 Broadcom® BCM43224. Then, I upgraded to 10.12.4 and, predictably, the card no longer works. Any fixes for this card, which worked flawlessly on Sierra 10.12.3 and now on 10.12.4 doesn't work at all.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Butch

BCM43224 still works.
Depending on your SMBIOS, you need an appropriate whitelist patch though...

Thanks, nice to know that I don't have to swap cards yet another time. Would it be possible to direct me to a guide that discusses how to incorporate a whitelist patch for this particular card into the SMBIOS?

Thanks again.

Hi RehabMan,

Your fake pci id works well in my laptop HP pro 430 g1
Is your kexts along with config.plist only for laptop?
Are they also applicable for hackintosh PC?

Thanks.

FakePCIID kexts are not specific to laptops.

Thanks for your confirmation.
How about config.plist for intel graphics ? Are they also not specific to laptop ?
I need Intel HD 530 config list for my PC.

Your profile indicates HD530 laptop...
Desktops can require different settings for ig-platform-id.

I would like to ask, if it is possible to use FakePCIID to make Thunderboltcard (like Gigabyte AlpineRidge) appear under Thunderbolt Entry in System Profiler. If so: what should i do to make it possible.

Right now the card is detected and connected devices are working as expected. Also the card could be find in IOReg-tree.
No special patch (neither in clover or kext-patch) is needed to make it work. Only thing: it does NOT appear within System Profiler under Thunderbolt Devices.

Just need a push into right direction.

Look at Apple ioreg to see which properties are injected.
It could be one of those properties or could be subvendor/subdevice ids (which you certainly could fake with FakePCIID).
