I have this laptop working to the point that it's useable for my needs.
It's not my usual stopping point, I prefer all features working.
Since it's not my main system, and serves as a utility computer, it's fine.

It's a very functional laptop, offering some features Apple no longer has such as DVD Drive.
Apple closing users out of their computer's insides is driving me more to Hackintosh.
I have owned many Macs but it's becoming harder to justify the lack of flexibility.
My ProBook is i7, it runs quiet, cool, and is fast for what it is.

I have attached all the usual files requested for those that might want to make it more functional.
Just about everything is working, so I will only list what isn't or has issues.

I use Clover and have included all my installed files.
I have also included Linux dump files, lots of useful stuff.
Also my DSDT has been edited, some may say I should have this and that.
The DSDT is what works, anything else is not necessary.

Initailly I tried RehabMan's HotPatch.
I didn't like what seems like a shotgun approach.
Besides I want to know what is installed and for what purpose.
So I did a manual install, narrowing down to essential files that work.

The only thing I might like to fix is native audio,
And a reboot issue when running on DC power.
Other than that it's not a big concern.

Overall Rehabman saved me a lot of time, many Thanks.

The configuration . . .
Mac OS: Sierra 10.12.4
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro13,2
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.7 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 2
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 16 GB
Bus Speed: 400 MHz

Upgrades . . .
Replaced WiFi Card with BCM94352Z NGFF type
Replaced Hard Drive with 960 GB SSD
Installed 128GB M.2 2280 SSD
Installed 16GB RAM

What's Not Working . . .
Bluetooth
Connexant Audio (using VooDooHDA)
VooDooHDA HDMI Audio

Issues . . .
Shutdown only works when running on battery,
. . . On DC power it reboots.
On reboot often gets a POST error
. . . Says system time is invalid etc., etc.

Your laptop has a guide.
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...book-using-clover-uefi-hotpatch-10-11.189416/

That guide has limited use, it will not fix the issues mentioned.

Most everything is working with that guide.
I did it myself on a 440 G4 KabyLake.

Shutdown problem is not as you state. Actually, it is an automatic power on after successful shutdown. At least one person has solved it with correct BIOS settings. I did not have that opportunity, as the BIOS was so buggy, no BIOS setting changes would take.

I only had CMOS reset during installation, never after correctly patched ACPI and Clover setup was done... You probably made a mistake in patching ACPI.

Bluetooth will work with proper USB configuration and compatible WiFi/BT hardware installed.

My guide uses patched AppleHDA, not VoodooHDA. Last anyone checked, HDMI audio was not working, so the files in the current github disable it intentionally. It could be that 10.12.4 has fixed some things, so someone should revisit the issue (re-enable it and test the various scenarios). Some information/links are provided in the guide.

Everything in my guide is open source and quite obvious if you look at the content...

The restart (CMOS reset) is related to RTC.
I haven't been able research that further, no time.
RTC fixes I made in the DSDT did improve over what it was before.
I also think it could be a buggy BIOS, because it's random.

I'll revisit your guide, but it will be awhile before I can spend time on this again.

Thanks for your reply

Standard "RTC Fix" from my repo probably helps.
It could be that AppleRTC patch in config.plist won't work in scenarios where AppleRTC.kext is out of cache.
(I did check 10.12.4 AppleRTC and the Clover code, last modified for Mavericks, should still work with it)

Hotpatch (config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches) "RTC Fix" would be:
Find: <47 01 70 00 70 00 01 08>
Replace: <47 01 70 00 70 00 01 02>

I also think it could be a buggy BIOS, because it's random.

I noticed lots of bugs in this BIOS...
Hopefully HP will make an update available...

Hello Guy, I am very new to the Mackintosh topic :D
I also have the HP Probook G4 with only the Intel HD 620.

Evertime I want to "install" the HD 620 config.plist I fail. I used RehabMan's and mactiton's plist. Clover doesn't shows the hard drive to boot. Then I have reset the whole thing :/.
I am very unexperienced / sorry :(

Can you help me?
