Actually, it very clearly does...

Read "VoodooPS2Controller.kext versions prior to 1.8.24 will cause a KP"

You need to remove the old VoodooPS2Controller.kext, then install the new one.
You can remove it by using Terminal within the macOS installer (boot from a USB prepared according to my Clover laptop guide).

You should have updated it prior to updating the system... (perfect example of reading before acting).
