Clover HDMI audio for NVIDIA & AMD cards. Easy way.

Try using v1.1 of that kext located in my post here

I have done exactly the above steps you mentioned. Nothing more. Also make sure you have proper working GPU acceleration to get HDMI to work. This means enabling Nvidia Web Driver under System Parameters of Clover Configurator.

I have ASUS GTX 1070 Founder's Edition card to be exact. Display Port audio detected on all 3 DP ports and HDMI detected on 1 HDMI port. So 4 ports are working on my card with v1.1 HDMIAudio.kext

Also make sure if you have not installed VoodooHDA kext as it may conflict with HDMIAudio.kext. If installed, remove it from S/L/E or Clover/Kexts/Other

Thanks so much for this. Have a Creative Soundblaster X-fi (SB0880) but failed over and over to get it working. Can't get internal audio to work either (IDT 92HD68E2). Was happy to settle for HDMI audio through Nvidia GTX660 card as don't need any more than stereo outside of Windows. Followed instruction to remove the VoodooHDA kext from extensions folder and installed your kext with KextBeast. Worked straight after a reboot.

HDMI Audio doesn't work to me.

I used that exact method and it worked for me. :D

HMDI audio works from the HDMI port on my GTX 1080. It doesn't work however via the DVI port using a DVI>HDMI adaptor.

No. Just used the HDMIaudio kext file.
Hello bro, I was in the same problem that you. If you still can not solve the problem, install VoodooHDA.kext version 2.8.9
instead of HDMIAudio.kext like this post
I lost nvidia HDMI audio in two ways; running MSI Gaming M7, when I updated to the most recent December BIOS HDMI audio (using 10.12.3) stopped working. So I reverted to the previous BIOS and HDMI audio worked. When I upgraded to 10.12.4 (on the old BIOS version) HDMI audio stopped working completely.

I downloaded VoodooHDA.Kext v2.8.9 and HDMI audio works! I don't know why the ssdt fails with 10.12.4 (and with the updated MSI BIOS). Seems that the .aml file needs a rewrite and needs to be recompiled.

Hope that solve your problem.

Using HDMIAudio.kext, I was able to get audio from DP1 and DP2 on the 1070. DVI-D, HDMI, and DP3 did not work.

I also have a problem. Audio through my MSI Motherboard's analog ports works with the alc drivers installed through multibeast. However I don't have speakers and I don't want to be connected to headphones all the time. So I tried the Hdmiaudio drivers with my MSI GTX 1070 but they didn't work. I have doublechecked and I have installed them to the other folder in the kext folder of the efi partition. However hdmi audio doesn't work. I want both hdmi audio and analog to work. Can someone suggest a method to do that.
