Black Screen After Updating to 10.12.5

With my GTX 660 gpu, I am getting very poor results with the webdrivers for 10.12.4 (both recent versions). For example with the Unigine Heaven, just under 4fps. If I boot with the Apple default Nvidia drivers I get around 27fps. I get similar results with other gpu tests. It is running a monitor at 2560x1440 using DP.

I can't figure out why the webdriver is doing so poorly. I know that in past versions I got pretty much the same results with Apple vs the webdriver. In fact on my second system (using GTX 650 Ti) still behaves that way.

I have reinstalled multiple times, scrutinized the config.plist,... and still can't see a reason for this.

Any suggestions of things to look at about this? I have a GTX 1060 on order but concerned about having the webdriver working properly.

Impressive, everything works on my GTX 1070, Palit branded. I can play World of Warcraft in 2560*1440 with medium-high graphics and SSAA 4x anti aliasing with a high framerate.

However performance of same game in Windows is much better under DirectX11, where I can set maximum level of shadows and draw distance, can enable SSAO, but it's not an issue of this drivers, it's a common problem of OpenGL and game performance under MacOS.

In current Mac version of World of Warcraft I see at first also Metal renderer added to default OpenGL. I think it's a first game to use Metal, it gives Mac games fast MSAA 4x anti aliasing mode, which a lot of years was available in Windows.

So it seems the system freeze while playing video with Safari is affecting users of previous GPU generations only... I'm not seeing any reports from Pascal users hit by this.

I have searched the system logs and cannot even find any associated error message or report. It looks like the graphics engine just hangs.

Also, video in Chrome did not crash, but there were noticeable glitches (slight pauses and jumps), something I have never seen before on this computer.

I have reverted to the previous version of the Web drivers and things appear back to normal. I'll stick with this until the next update.

I have tried as well without success. I reinstalled Sierra from scratch and installed the web driver for my Gigabyte GTX1080. I also activated NvidiaWeb tag in clover configurator, but the graphic card never got detected on restart.
Config.plist seems to load properly, i can activate the verbose mode.
Do i need to use a fakeID ?
Do i need to check inject Nvidia in the graphics tab ?
I also tried to plug my monitor in DVI and HDMI, but it doesnt change anything.

I swapped the GPUs between my Z97 and Z77 systems (both running 10.12.4) and the gtx 660 gets poor webdriver performance on both systems, while the gtx 650 Ti gets good performance on both. Both also work fine with the default Apple drivers. Not sure when the 660 stopped working well with nvidiaweb.

How you see, that performance is lower? Did you test in Unigene Heaven, it has strong graphics and so very reliable results, you can see how many performance was dropped.

Yes in Unigine Heaven it goes from ~30fps to 3fps, and similar results in Luxmark and CUDA-Z scores.

I'm on 10.12.4 with a GTX 970, updated to the latest drivers. Since then, after the computer is idle for a bit when moving the mouse again it doesn't freeze but it's really really really laggy for a minute and two and then goes back to normal. No sleep, no screensaver.

Anyone seeing this?

Same here with GTX 970. I will install back "367.15.10.45".
It would be good if that driver were shared on this tonymacx86 page, for people having issues and not having pascal card.

I have made the upgrade to 10.12.4 and installed latest nVidia WebDriver, anyone struggling with black screen after system booted at half? and if web-view disable at boot, all apps using flash player are crashing..?

i can get the system booting up only if i change the flag to false/ for the nvidia driver in the plis, but then all youtube and web-brower tabs are crashing. I am using system definition 14.1
