Hey guys,

I'm trying to finally upgrade my Snow Leopard Probook 4530s to Lion and Unibeast went through to completion but when I tried to eject the USB stick it said the Installer partition was still busy and I had to force eject. It's showing 4.42 GB of space used, does that sound right? Thanks.

Sorry, thought this might be more of a general question on Unibeast. I was also concerned because the Lion laptop support didn't seem as active. Thanks.

I'm actually following your Lion Probook guide, this link is El Capitan & Yosemite isn't it? I don't see any info about being able confirm the size of the file my USB stick should contain after running Unibeast.

The guide I linked supports Lion too.
The old guide is deprecated.
What do you mean by "confirm the size of the file"?

Thanks, I didn't realize there was a new method.
By the size of the file I meant my bootable Lion USB stick had 4.42 GB used up on the 8 GB Installer partition after running Unibeast. I was just trying to get an idea if that sounded right.

I don't know why you should care.
You will need to start over (create new USB) to follow the new guide.
Start with a fresh download of Lion from the Mac App Store.

Is there any reason I shouldn't use the old method? This new way seems more complicated. I don't intend to upgrade past Lion, and I see no mention of Lion in the guide. The only reason I'm even moving on from Snow Leopard honestly is because my tax software requires it. :)

New method is not complicated.
No support for old method.
The guide works for Lion (In fact, I have a 4530s that works on Snow Leopard -> Sierra, using the same guide files).
