I will try this app then also since i dont want to spend money on a new monitor

So you connected a TV to your built and the Night Shift option disappeared? i will try a monitor this weekend to see if i can get the night shift on my built
Not a built. An actual Apple Mac Mini Late 2012. Hence my believe that night shift out of the box does not work with TVs, only with monitors and, potentially, certain GPUs.

I tried this but it did not work. Monitor was still getting detected as a TV.
After you followed the steps to create the override files, and moved them to the /System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides folder, did you select the created color profile in System Preferences > Displays > Color for the monitor in question?

I tried this, the file was not created

I managed to create the file, but now i am unable to calibrate the size of the screen as you can see on this screen shot, luckily i backed up the original file on overrides so i was able to go back to the original settings. Night Shift was not enabled with this steps, thanks for the guide tho.

I think emulating the display as an iMac screen is the best way of getting Night Shift mode to work.

Use DarwinDumper to save a copy of EDID. DarwinDumper will generate a EDID.bin file. Load that file in the app. Sleect the type of monitor you want to emulate and click on Make. This will create a kext file on the Desktop. Copy that file to S/L/E folder with KextBeast and reboot.
