Thank you very much. I had the same problem and now it works like a charm. Do you think the lowest brightness level on this version is brighter than the previous versions (with IntelBacklight.kext)?

Yes I too noticed it. I guess we will have to wait for RehabMan to give us an updated kext.

And i found some interesting thing.

Intel HD Graphics 530 now working well without any patches and injections.
1. I remove "Inject Intel" in Clover-Graphics and my graphics card name is "Intel HD Graphics SKL CRB 1536 MB" now. With this injection it named "Intel HD Graphics 7000 1536 MB".
2. I remove property of "IntelGFX" device in Clover-Devices that we used for remove glitches in the upper left corner.

Now it works without any glitches.
Night shift works fine.

Anybody has iCloud/App Store etc. issues? I had all up and working (iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime...) on 10.12.4 (Clover r3974) and after updating the OS to the newest version, I can't login to any service requiring Apple ID...

Yes!

I dunno what happened. 10.12.3 was perfect for me. Since the update, I haven't been able to use any iCloud or App Store services.

Going to work it out today.

I got cocky with last 3 smooth updates lol but few little issues with this one...

1. update clover before installing 12.4 as every previous post says (I didn't get the "black screen" but it would hang at apple logo forever)
2. with new clover you get a new serial number for your mac which means you will have to do the "idiots guide to iMessage" again...
3 Nvidia web driver update didn't work for some reason so I had to uninstall and install the drivers

...but

one new good thing I noticed with 12.4 - Don't know why but my computer always made quick little static sound during the boot at apple logo - THAT'S GONE! :)

This guy gets it. Step 2. Clover changed my Serial number and made an incorrect communication.

So..Reinstalled Clover, replaced config.plist to retain my working serial number etc.

iCloud now working.

Surprised that the update is going without any problems for everyone, except me. I can not overcome AppleACPICPU busy timeout block. Clover and even FakeSMC kext are updated. Apparently, I have to wait for the upgrade of UniBeast/MultiBeast.

That's it I've stayed silent long enough hoping a fix will come along to put a stop to this dam disco screen from the ATI 5770 graphics card and I'm too darn old to start body popping every time this machine reaches the desktop. That's the only thing that broke with the update, so tomorrow I'm taking delivery of a Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 750TI, so there's a possibility I will be begging and borrowing a few tips of 'How To's' according to how the installation goes. That's what I loved about me old 5770's (actually bought two, use one one the test rig) worked straight from the box, no fuss, no drama with every update until now.

Install screenresx(free for 10 days or so). Reduce colors from billions to millions. Did the trick for me(6870). Bit of a stopgap, but it works.

Yes, despite my earlier optimism I'm now getting system freezes that don't clear themselves and need rebooting to restore. Usually after the first 15-mins or so. The Caps-Lock key still lights or un-lights but nothing else works.

This never happened with 10.12.3 so it's either that new version of Clover or 10.12.4 - not my hardware which has run trouble-free for six months (approx).

Hmmm....

First step I will take is MacMan, and Tonymacx86's advice:

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...d-for-kext-injection-in-macos-10-12-4.218062/

... as currently the kexts are in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

Right, so I took the advice and moved all kexts in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other to Library/Extensions using KextBeast. I've done this before changing the version of Clover (2.4_r4035 presently) to the later one linked to.

The system has booted as normal so I'll now wait and see if I get any more freezing etc...

---

Update: Nope, froze again at 32-mins uptime. Same symptoms. This is looking like it will be a hard nut to crack because it seems unrelated to anything unusual going on, just web browsing ...
