That are very bad news (to me). I'm using my Dell U2913WM via DisplayPort, I want to test the latest beta and the latest released of Clover but this is my only one build and I use it now to work. For now I'm stuck in 10.12.2 (16C67) and Old Clover version. Hope to still reading updates from you @jerryy2345 @Gigamaxx & @Mork_vom_Ork I keep visiting this thread everyday to read your updates/posts

They work but not if you inject ATI. Here's clover 4003 loaded on beta 12.4-1 Everything is working and I changed my System ID to MacBook Pro 13.3. 2016 Skylake RX 460?
Pretty nice power management for the Geekbench score.

You should be okay updating to macOS 10.12.4 PB2 and Clover v. 4003.

Gigamaxx surmised the Clover folks were targeting the AMD 9500 controller kext and what I have found goes along with that. Here is the quirky summary:

10.12.3 and Clover v. 4003 with inject ATI = true; I lost the DP output, but still have the HDMI output. About This Mac lists the AMD card correctly. Inject ATI = false, keeps both DP and HDMI outputs, falls back to the generic R9 xxx listing in About This Mac. 10.12.3 uses the 9500 controller kext.

10.12.4 PB 2, Clover v. 4003 with inject ATI = true and with Inject ATI = false keeps both the DP and HDMI outputs, falls back to the generic R9 xxx listing in About This Mac. 10.12.4 PB1 and PB2 both use the 9510 kext.

signature line: audio is still horrifically bad.

Sooo, what are the latest update on Sierra 10.12.4 PB2? Which kext I have to edit and what to add? The ***DF*** one? Thanks in advance you guys :)

Guys, some of these combinations repare de black boot issue?

Not yet. But for some time now, I have been able to use the DVI output from the motherboard connected to my monitor and the DP output from the AMD card also connected my monitor (occasionally the HDMI connected the monitor as needed for testing, but this one is usually not connected) and use the monitor input switching to change as needed. I can go through the entire boot process using the DVI connection and switch to the DP connection at will without losing acceleration from the AMD card. I have been using recent versions of macOS and Clover. So it is almost as good, but nooooooottt quite there yet. Those unicorns are awfully elusive.

For beta 12.4 you need to either use fake id in clover 0x67EF1002, and if that doesn't work then you need to alter the 9510 and 4100kexts.

To alter the AMD 9510controller kext I just added 0x67DF1002 after the 0x67EF1002 ID in the info.plist of the 9510kext. It in the IOKitpersonalities tab in the info.plist.

For the 4100kext it's in the same location the info.plist and I added 0x67DF1002 after the 0x67EF1002 definition.

You need to drag the info.plist from the folder and place it on desktop then make the edit, hit save and then replace it to the folder. Before you reboot make sure to run Kextwizzard to repair permissions. Kextbeast will not work for this as it applies to Library/Exrensions, not System/Library/Extensions. They are completely different libraries.

Hello,

I can report that HDMI/DisplayPort audio appears in the sound output section of Sound preferences in this beta. I'm not sure I can hear anything coming out, but it's a step in the right direction. In my case, I'm using the HDMIAudio.kext method. Perhaps we're getting closer?

HDMI Audio Through AMD XFX RX 480 8gb Reference Card ...

I just replicated sound by using the AutoHDMI.kext from Toleda and updating to 12.4 beta.
I ran the fix in 12.3 and no sound but as soon as I updated I had RX 480 sound.

Can you post your IOreg.
Hello,

Are you talking about Toleda's terminal script or are you talking about an actual .kext you've installed? If it's a file, could you share it?

Yes the terminal script. New Automatic HDMI Audio Script Released | tonymacx86.com
