So, I called them again today. I gave them my customer code and the support guy entered it in the system (he said my Apple ID should now be able to sign in, he did that multiple times). But it doesn't, I still get the customer code. I guess I have to wait until it works somehow.

You are right - of course. But still.. Maybe I should re-read the guide on this. MLB = Mac Logic Board = BoardSerialNumber (iMessagedebugv2), right? Probably I will stick with my current (Clover generated) values, but to be sure - where do I enter MLB in Clover configurator? Under SMBIOS - Board Serial Number, or, under Rt Variables - MLB.

The 'Idiot Guide' offers offers a more simplified version to the main 'Fix iMessage' guide, it would be best advised to run through it again to grasp what is needed to have a successful iMessage/F-Time setup. The two examples shown here (Taken from one of my setups in Clover Configurator) is explained in the guide. Obviously I have blocked out my rig's details in red for security reasons.

If you've run iMsg DeBugger and it does not contain any of the values as 'Null' - then just sit tight for a day or so if you've been informed the ID should now work.

Hi guys, I've been trying to get iMessage and facetime to work on my hackintosh (HP Folio 1040 G1). I tried p1grim's guide with some success. I can get pass the log on screen once and then imessage won't respond to anything I type into it. After trying to re-log it will give me the customer support message. What is the final piece of this puzzle that I am missing? Do I need to call customer support with the customer code listed in the error message? Or should I try a clean install? Any help would be appreciated!

The 'Idiot Guide' offers offers a more simplified version ...... in red for security reasons.

Thanks for your patience and kind support. iMessage & F-Time functionality are important to me, so I would like to fully understand how I could restore in case of an emergency (fresh install). In such unfortunate event I would have to work my way back from the iMessageDebug output (attached) into the Clover Configurator screens. Could you please have a look, I have noted my questions in red?

Edit: in case that for whatever reason the "Clover/Idiot Guide values" stop working, I could fall back to the values from my old Mac mini. I also retrieved and stored those. In such case, would I then be forced to use the relevant Mac mini system definition for Clover configuration, or can I still use imac14,2 and my Mac mini's MLB and ROM? Hope this question is clear?

It's not a problem we're all here to help each other - Ok apart from making a note and keeping a record of the iMessage DeBugger readout for future reference, one of the best sure fired method is to Clone your hard drive once your'e happy everything is working to your satisfaction. There are some very good cloning software (I use Carbon Copy Cloner) that will clone the entire disk including the EFI partition onto another disk which will also be made bootable. This is something everyone should adopt because sooner or later that backup disk will prove invaluable and save you from a complete reinstall.

If I've interpreted your post correctly and understand your query, Ive included a pic indicating where the three important values should be entered in Clover Configurator and saved, which will also save it automatically to your config.plist.

I'm having a bit of an issue with getting iMessage and FaceTime to work. I'm currently running Sierra 10.12.3 and everything is working perfectly with the exception of iMessage and FaceTime. I went through a the iMessage setup guide up to the point where iMessage will give me a customer code and tell me to call Apple support when I try to log in. I called them and they took the code and cleared me without a problem. The issue is, the customer code persists and refuses to let me log in despite the fact that it has already been cleared by Apple. Has anyone had this issue before?

As the facetime of my hackintosh activated ... I will try to activate the imessage of my hackintosh ..fico without activation of my face time ... any solution? Imessage and face time in conflict ..!?

Ok so after a year of struggle i finally managed to fix iMessage and FaceTime on my Lenovo B570e
the Apple ID of my father signs in,both iMessage and FaceTime does work perfect.
But none of my Apple ID`s are working,i have 3 Apple ID and none of them does work, they sign in for like 5 sec and then give me the customer Code. should i let them settle for 24-48hrs or i have no choice but to call Apple Support.
i Followed P1LGRIM`s: Idiot`s guide to iMessage and my father Apple ID and my Sisters Apple ID do sign in without a problem without giving customer Code.
Both my Father and Sisters do have iPhones so do i need to have an active iMessage on iPhone in order to be able to sign or it doesn`t matter because i personally have a Android Phone (Nexus 6P).
So at this point i know that my laptop Configuration is correct since 3 Apple ID`(father and my two sisters) work.
Someone any idea ?

EDIT: i Created a new account after i tested that the Apple ID of my father is working correctly, just to be sure that the two others are not blacklisted or something, but the same case happened,it still did give me a customer code.
