ASRock Deskmini 110 issues

Hi all. Long time reader, first time on the forum and first build.

My build for the DeskMini 110 (Macmini6,2):
I3 6300
8GB Crucial DDR4 2133
Sandisk 240GB SSD - boot.
Seagate 1TB 5400rpm - storage.

What works:
Dual Boot (Mac or Win10) from the same SSD works great and was easy to set up.
Sierra boots cleanly.
HDMI - Good with minor artifacts in the corners occasionally.
Memory detects correctly as do drives.

I haven't patched the HD 530 yet - read it in the thread but haven't gotten here yet. LAN not tested yet either.

What doesn't work:
No onboard audio still - any fixes succeed yet?
Wake from sleep - just shuts down and needs to be restarted. Ideas?

Where's a good current source for the M.2 Wifi card that works? I'm leaning to just a repeater under the desk and staying hard-wired if it's too expensive or hard to get.

It's looking like a great little machine for the price (considering everything but the box and the memory was already on hand from other machines).

Hey, I have fixed the audio problem.
Now the audio(both output and input) can work well.

For Sleep Problem，I choose to never use Sleep function.

For M.2 Wifi card, I use the BCM94352Z（DW1560）.

Now everything works well except the Sleep.But I don't need Sleep as it is a desktop build.
So you can refer to my files.

A BIOS fix has been released by Asrock for the H110M-STX:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H110M-STX/?cat=Beta

Each of bios settings below is necessary, or the installation process will suffer unexpected error and fail.

1. If your CPU supports VT-d, disable it

2. IOAPIC 24-119 Entries, disable it

3. If your system has Secure Boot Mode, disable it

4. If your system has IO Serial Port, disable it

5. Set XHCI Handoff to Enabled

hello, I just got my H110M-STX and tried to update BIOS to 1.41 for macOS.
Unfortunately, it failed to find the update file either by usb device or direct connect to ASROCK website.
Could you give any advice on the udpate?

Hey, I have fixed the audio problem.
I extracted the codec_dump from Ubuntu, got the platform/layout infos of Deskmini ALC283 and built a special AppleALC.kext.
Now the audio(both output and input) can work well with the AppleALC.kext and CodecCommander.kext.

Thanks for the ALC283. Haven't actually loaded it yet, as I'm using a USB DAC, but I will as soon as I need to use a microphone. As for sleep: People in the HD530 thread mentioned that enabling hibernation works and wakes just fine, haven't tried it with my configuration though.

Terminal:

sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 25

Anyways, did anyone try using a dual monitor setup? Does it exhibit the same problems as mentioned in the HD 530 thread?

I have given up the Sleep function.

“hibernatemode 25” does not work well for me.
After waking up the machine, it just shows me a grey last-shown screen with a progress bar or even a full black screen. Nothing I can do with it except shutting down the machine by force.

Now according to this thread https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/disable-sleep-altogether.75666/ , the Sleep menu was disabled, that makes me feel much better.

BIOS里面直接在线更新不行么。我那台出厂是1.30的，插上网线直接就在BIOS里面更新到7.0了。
还有貌似Deskmini有两个版本的，

两个版本提供的BIOS数量好像不一样。
我那台估计是COM版的，1.30直接跳到7.0了，我把不带COM的版本的bios放进U盘里面，貌似也说找不到文件。

Yes, my destmini is with COM port so only bios 7.0 version is available.
Does 7.0 also support macOS installation? Seems only 1.41 beta supports masOS by AsRock.

Yes, I have a working 7.0 bios with i3-7100. Everything works even with 2K output with HD 630 in displayport.
Before upgrade to 7.0, I had encountered random hang when browsing internet. But after upgrade to 7.0 everything seems ok!

1. No, I am not able to make it work. After sleep and wake, the machine just reboot.

I know the Deskmini 110 case allows for 2 x 2.5" drives. Are those drives limited to 9.5mm thick or can they be 15mm thick?

EDIT: I watched a video that said it only takes 9.5mm drives.
