FakePCIID: Broadcom BCM57XX network OOB

Just came across this thread. I'm getting bald trying to fix Ethernet on my dell laptop. Tried Yosemite and El Capitan. I can get everything to work but my BCM5756ME Ethernet.

Can anyone help? I've attached my IOReg

Your ethernet device is 14e4:1674. It is not in the FakePCIID_BCM57XX_as_BCM57765.kext Info.plist. You could add it and see what happens.

after trying a few different kexts i have to say RehabMan you're a legend!

FYI: FakePCIID is a joint effort between myself and the-darkvoid.

and thanks the-darkvoid!

have one issue :(
ive got 10.10.5 and 10.9.5 on my MacPro and 10.9.5 seems a little bit more stable, plus gives me an option to use Intel HD3000 video with HDMI audio without any hassles (10.10.5 just white screen). its not a big issues my Radeon 5770 works with HDMI audio in 10.10.5. Im at a crossroad as to which way to go, but i would prefer 10.9.5 as my macbook has it also and my iCloud drive is not upgraded.
The only thing is that BCM57781 doesnt do WOL with FakePCIID.
while the hacked IONetworkingFamily kext works with WOL in Yosemite.

My network card is BCM57780 [14e4:1692], if I install the two .kext files, will it then work? Or is there more tweaking required?

It is in the Info.plist. You should test it. No one can predict the future.

Will this Broadcom BCN57XX guide work on Sierra 10.12? It sure would make my day!!!!

Hi all,

I didn't get my BCM57785 running...
What I did:
0. Find out with DPCIManager what my Ethernet exactly is
1. downloaded the ZIP mentioned first Post
2. took the "FakePCIID_BCM57XX_as_BCM57765.kext" and placed it on the desktop
3. downloaded the KextBeast
4. started the KextBeast and followed the steps until its finished
5. reboot (not sure whether needed)

When I take a look into my S/L/E I can find the file now.
But the Ethernet is not running...

Attached my IOREG (hope I did the extract correct)

Please have a look and give me a hint, what I did wrong, due to all others seems to have no issues with that way...

Thanks!

FakePCIID_BCM57XX_as_BCM57765.kext does nothing without FakePCIID.kext.
