motherboard for motu 896 firewire

I am completely new I have tried t read all I can but could use some direction concerning which mobo to use. I will use my unit for music production with Logic pro 8 and a motu 896 firewire unit. I may also be getting a presonus firewire unit and wonder if it will work with the same mobo. Any help you can give me will be appreciated. Thanks

Sorry to intrude but Have you used your 896 with a Hackintosh before? I'm wondering if my 896HD would do it.

Thanks a bunch for your input. That leads me to another question: does it have to be syba? Cannot find it in Argentina. I find Iocrest (TI chipset) here. Thoughts?
