Ok let me start off this is about a laptop wireless card but this wireless card will go into a desktop hackintosh.

Now today my ISP in upgraded me to Broadband 150 (150down and 15up) Now before I had a ASUS USB wireless card but now it can't keep up to the internet connection and I'm looking for a new wireless card.

I was looking around and I found a DW1550 and I think it contains the same wireless chip and Bluetooth like in my laptop with a DW1560. Now my question is does a DW1560 or DW1560 work in Sierra or not because I'm not risking to update my laptop and try since I'm fine at El Capitan and running stable (Plus idk if the graphics are even working with the Intel 530 Laptop).

Basically All I'm asking does the DW1550 work in OS X or not

Please No Mods change this over to the desktop since i think the laptop people will have more experience with laptop wireless chips i just want to know if there is support so i can use it in a adapter to put into a desktop.

In principle there is no difference, they generally use the same socket (Or sometimes a PCIE adaptor) but will work in the same way. If it works in a laptop it should work in a desktop and vice versa. Some laptops have whitelists which only permit certain wireless cards mind you, but no such thing exists in desktop boards to my knowledge.

If you do a search for DW1560 you will find the exact answer you need. It can be made to work but is not 100% native.

If it is BCM4352, it is supported with appropriate patches.
