Is there anyway to remove HDMI audio from output devices?

I have a Gigabyte Nvidia 1050ti Graphics card which I only use for windows and I have HDMI Audio listed 4 times because of the 4 HDMI ports on my graphics card.

I've tried a clean install of Sierra and the 4 x HDMI Audio is still listed in Output devices.

Thanks

Different problem. Remove FakeSMC.kext. Install only FakeSMC.kext (no Plugins). Restart

OK...I'm finally getting back around to troubleshooting. I tried as asked above. Still have same issue with the SSDT-HDMI-HD530.aml in the patched folder, Sierra can't fully load. I've tried a few iterations of clean installs, clean clover folders and config, minimal multi-beast settings, but no matter what I do, as soon as I put the SSDT-HDMI-HD530.aml file in the patched folder, Sierra goes into reboot do loop. Attached are latest files. I can load the SSDT-HDEF-HDAS-1.aml file in the patched folder, and Sierra loads up OK.

This is getting extremely frustrating. If I just bought a video card, would I still be having these issues? ...or would a Display Port monitor work better (I'm thinking about a 34" WQHD Dell monitor)?

Clover debug log shows:
Code:
21:556 0:025 Apply DsdtFixMask=0x00000000 old way
21:560 0:004 drop _DSM mask=0x0000
No idea where the request is made

I checked older debug files. It's always been there. Agree with you...can't find anything in config.list that covers this. Are you sure this isn't present for everyone else? Part of standard kexts?

What do I do next? Seriously...if I get a DisplayPort monitor or get a video card, would this be easier, or would I still have these issues?

Yes

More than one method attempted. Only one method works at a time.

Hardware problem

HD4600 HDMI audio may work, up to you.

Thanks toleda~ It works with native AppleHDA.kext. I have lots of gratitude of you. You really the hero in this thread~~

Hi,

I'm blocked trying to get HDMI Audio working after doing a clean install of Sierra. I'd love any help anyone can offer.

Description of HDMI audio problem
Upgraded from Mavericks /Chameleon to Sierra/Clover and the HDMI sound no longer works

OS X version/motherboard model/BIOS version/processor/graphics

  • Gigabyte GA-Z77-WIFI (LGA 1155)
  • Intel Core i7-3770
  • 240GB SSD Drive
  • No graphics card
  • Samsung 43” Plasma TV Monitor F4500
Procedure/Guide Used

1. Flashed bios and updated to F3. Updated settings to the recommended settings (changed VT-d, and XHCI Handoff, didn’t see CFG-Lock, or OS Type, or IO Serial port)

2. Erased SSD drive and installed Sierra using Unibeast UEFI mode

Installation went smoothly and I was able to boot into Sierra

3. Ran MultiBeast, and selected UEFI Boot Mode and the following:
  • ALC892
  • Optional HD 3000 / HD 4000 / HD 530 HDMI Audio
Made no other alterations

4. Rebooted into Sierra and check sound settings, which now had the following:
  • Line Out
  • Digital Out
  • Internal Speakers
But no HDMI audio. (Regular headphones and Bluetooth headphones worked fine.)

5. Next, I tried using the audio_cloverHDMI-120.command in conjunction with the EFI Mounter. Attached is a screenshot of the results. It ran with the following errors.

Print: Entry, "Comment", Does Not Exist
Set: Entry, ":Comment", Does Not Exist
Merge: Can't Add array Entries to dict
HDMI audio edited /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist installed

Where I stand now:

When I reboot, I can’t see any changes in system controls.
When I mount the EFI partition, I see two files:

EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched/SSDT-HDEF-2.aml
EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched/SSDT-HDMI-HD4000.aml

When I view the config.plist file, I see the following changes:

Audio: 3
UseIntelHDMI (x) checked

Attached are what I hope are the necessary files to solve the issue.

Thanks again.

* attached logs for system and multicast

System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext

EFI/CLOVER/config.plist attached
Misc/debug.log attached

Attached is a zip file with a screen shot of my .command results, my config.plist, debug.log, IOReg file, system.log and Multibeast.log. I hope that helps.

UseIntelHDMI (x) checked
Set to NO
Remove property: config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/t2-10.10-10.11-Capri-Port _0x7-HDMI2DP
Save, restart, reply with new files.
