Continuity and Handoff Capable Apple Mini Cards + PCIe and mini-PCIe Adapters

Hi All,

Got the Fenvi card from amazon and it works fine - both wifi and BT. In system report, it does show hand-off support. Running the activation tool diagnostic, the one "Not Good" is that my board-ID is not 12 or 20 characters. I generated the random board-ID in clover for Mac Pro 6,1 and its is 20 characters if I include the "MAC-" or 16 characters if I don't. Anyone else have a 6,1 definition and can help? I'm afraid to change this because iMessage and FaceTime all work fine.

Thanks
Did you need to do anything special to install and get this card working?

What you can do first is test the Wifi and BT out on a clean El Capitan install. If it then works with no problem for both you then know for sure you don't have a defective card. I've read somewhere in these forums a fix for the BT problem in Sierra. You'll have to do some searching for that. I'm still on El Cap and all is working with the Fenvi Adapter and BCM94360CD card.

I don't have an El Capitan Drive handy...

And just to be clear - are you using the Fenvi F-T919? Or a different Fenvi adapter with the Broadcom attached?

I was under the impression that the Fenvi F-T919 had a Broadcom BCM94360 card inside:

Can anyone confirm that?

Thanks! and hopefully others can confirm what I'm seeing.

I'm using the four antenna version, not the three. I built mine myself. Bought the adapter and card separately. It is the BCM94369CD. iMac version. The Adapter card looks like this but with 4 antennas.

Can't find the four antenna version of this online anywhere anymore.

Thanks for posting... I'm assuming, since Apple uses a BCM94369CD that you were able to install this in your system with no custom or patched kexts?

Correct, was just plug and play in OS X El Capitan.

Yes, I'm running Sierra and it's working well
Just confirming - you have the Fenvi FV-T919 working in Sierra - and didn't have to load custom kexts/patched kexts for it to work?
