Continuity and Handoff Capable Apple Mini Cards + PCIe and mini-PCIe Adapters

The Fenvi FV-T919 I can confirm working (wifi and BT) in Yosemite and El Capitan. Haven't tried Sierra yet. Others report it working. Has to be installed in a PCI-e x1 slot. So not a good choice for mini-itx motherboards obviously. mATX and ATX no problems. The iMac 14,2 sysdef is probably the best choice to get everything working. This includes an iMac wifi/BT card.

This links to a Fenvi card labeled DT92. Is this the same card you're using?

That's a different card...appears to be WIFI only.
I checked and it doesn't look like Amazon has the t919 at the moment...only the DT92 comes up when searching.
This should be the correct card (or google Fenvi t919 in the shopping section).

I blindly picked up the wifi card at the link above.

Are there kexts needed for the t919? or should it work out of the box?

I installed the one above (DT92) and it crashes on boot. I'd like to get that to work and see if that, along with my BT dongle helps get watch unlock working (not too concerned about handoff)

Thanks for any info!

The T919 works out of the box, no additional kexts needed. It does require a spare USB header port on the motherboard.
During my install, I had some crashes but moved the card to a different PCI slot and that seemed to make it happy.

One last question - as I don't want to buy the wrong thing again :) - but the T919 works on Sierra?

Yes, I'm running Sierra and it's working well

Hi All,

Got the Fenvi card from amazon and it works fine - both wifi and BT. In system report, it does show hand-off support. Running the activation tool diagnostic, the one "Not Good" is that my board-ID is not 12 or 20 characters. I generated the random board-ID in clover for Mac Pro 6,1 and its is 20 characters if I include the "MAC-" or 16 characters if I don't. Anyone else have a 6,1 definition and can help? I'm afraid to change this because iMessage and FaceTime all work fine.

Thanks

Well sometimes just doing nothing seems to work. I didn't do any patching or scripting. I noticed my iPhone tethering option showed up and it worked. I then enabled handoff in system preference and it worked. I guess just getting the Fenvi PCI card is enough and no additional configuration is needed.

There's a T919A on amazon. Does it work?

Just ordered the FV-T919A from amazon. Will be receiving it on Saturday when I will be attempting my first hackintosh build. Wish me luck! I'm pretty excited. Will report back with my troubles/findings.
