How to create your own DSDT using MaciASL

Thanks RehabMan
I could get the system DSDT before a BIOS update. Strange that now I can not get it in MAcIASL. Is this normal?

You can get it via Clover. Press F4 at main Clover screen, and then look at EFI/Clover/ACPI/origin.

Your problem is not obtaining it, but rather disassembly of it. That may be due to having an old iasl/MaciASL, or it may be due to inappropriate ACPI patching done via config.plist (or a bad DSDT.aml in ACPI/patched).

This guide was not comprehensive enough to cover every possible scenario. I don't want to mislead or confuse users with incorrect information. For this reason I have deleted the guide. Moderators please delete thread when convenient.

This guide was based on the DSDT portion of my system build description and can be seen here:

I also suggest reading through PJALM's new forum where he has posted all of his DSDT patches:

Seek help! Hello I am I am a foreigner, you provide this site need to register, there is a problem in the registration process, I do not know this question: (What is a running Mac OS called: ) what should be filled out? Who can tell me? I'll be very grateful to him! Thank you!

I don't know if this thread still is relevant, but I cannot get my USB 3.0 ports working. USB 2.0 sticks work fine in them, but 3.0 sticks will not be recognised at all (if I don't put them in a 2.0 port that is). I thought about giving this a try, but the pjalm website is just blank and doesn't show me any content at all. Maybe it's not maintained anymore? Anyways, if so, is there any other method that would work better? I'm also unable to use the IORegistryExplorer method to create a DSDT since it will not recognise the 3.0 stick either.
