Rehabman: Sleep works sometimes for me. It might be because of some of the kexts I have but are you having problems with your monitor (DP) waking up? Turning it on or off doesnt show my desktop but my second monitor (connected via USB) does. Thanks. A reboot sorts it out but thats not ideal. I have a UP3216Q Dell 32 inch 4K monitor.

Sleep works intermittently for me, single 4k monitor. I have it turned off now, but when enabled, if I have "Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off" unchecked, then sometimes as it goes into sleep the activity led goes yellow (correct i.e. the computer has gone to sleep) in which case it wakes ok, but other-times the LED stays blue in which case it rarely (never?) wakes.

Sounds like it is not related to the display/graphics drivers (somehow your USB devices not triggering wake?)

Hi all, thanks for the great guide.

Audio: SPDIF output on Skull Canyon disabled, not tested/not working.

What's the status of the S/PDIF output on Skull Canyon? Has anyone tested it? Or is it not working?

I'm interested in getting Skull Canyon partly because of its S/PDIF output. I could always get a USB to toslink adapter, but in that case I'd probably go for the i5 NUC instead. I see the 7th gen NUCs will have optical audio out but those are not available yet.

I did not test, did not attempt to make it work, as I have no need for it.
You can pursue it if you want...

Interesting post I ran across regarding Skull Canyon cooling settings in BIOS.

https://communities.intel.com/thread/102557

Pay special attention to the post by N.Scott.Pearson. The real gem is his suggestion for correct setting for "Duty Cycle Increment" param depending on your settings for "Minimum Duty Cycle" and "Minimum Temperature":

Duty-Inc = (100 - Min-Duty) / (80 - Min-Temp)

What kind of port is your monitor connected to?
Why is SSDTwrongmodel.aml in ACPI/patched?
You should probably disable Google Chrome's hooking of USB ports. See: chrome://flags/#enable-webusb

Currently monitor is connected via DP. SSDTwrongmodel removed. Chrome hook USB port disabled. Will do some more testing

You might test with a different monitor (non-4k). I wonder if your 4k monitor is not causing a hotunplug/plug event during the process of sleeping... If so, you might expect the behavior you see as that is the exact problem that happens with hotplug.
