You should vist pikeralpha's website and find his NVME patch if you were using a nvme drive.

Hello community, I am new to hackintosh. I have the gaming 7 mother board and audio does not work, due to the creative sound card. It appears that if I follow this according to the forum I can get it working - However I am not sure how to actually "inject" the kext
----
2,Audio enable
First:See http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311293-applealc-—-dynamic-applehda-patching/page-23, you will find wern apfel' post of #445. Download the 2 AppleALC.kext and inject proper number he pointed out(0 or 1) in clover's config.plist.(You may follow him and see some newer version with different inject layoutid)
Second: Do not resetHDA or patch AppleHDA.kext or use voodooHDA. His work is great cause volume control is enabled.
If no sound, you probably forget to rename HDAS to HDEF.
----
Can someone break it down for me as to the steps? I tried placing the KEXT in my extensions directory but that caused the machine to hang during startup.

@jyanes83 Were you able to figure it out? I have the same board and I'm also a noob, I don't understand those instructions. How do I inject? I don't understand what that is in this context, I know how to create a framework with dependency injection, is that the same thing? But how? I also do not know what to do with the .kext file.

Any help is be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello. Unfortunately I was not and went with a cheap USB Audio device -
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002R33VWW/?tag=tonymacx86com-20

It works right out of the box with no drivers etc. My speakers would not be able to use the 5.1 anyway that is provided on the mother board.

If you are still interested in getting the motherboard audio to work, i did have another tonymacx86 member contact me with this information -
post by JMacIV

if you manage to get it to work and could share some simple instructions :) i would appreciate it.

1,DSDT edit.
First: press F4 to get dsdt when you see the clover ui during boot. You can find DSDT.aml and SSDT-n.aml in EFI/Clover/ACPI/origin. More specifically, The number n in SSDT-n should be 0,1,2 etc, no 9x or 10x. Drag the DSDT and SSDT to your folder that created early.

Hi !
sorry but I have to ask - witch folder are you refering to in the quote above ?
I managed to install Sierra without any problems and I'm currently on 10.12.2 and everything works except the sleep. After system go to sleep it immediately wakes up to a black screen and it does that in a continuously loop.

  • Managed to fix the black screen by setting darkwake=0 in clover configurator boot args but the system still wakes up immediately after sleep . I disabled wake on lan in BIOS and unplugged all USB devices but with no effect. Any ideas? Thanks

Could you please help me . Thanks

P.S.

My config.plist is attached .I'm using the same MB - v Bios 20 (latest) and processor with 2 - 980ti

I have a Gigabyte 980ti WindForce managed to get the drivers working, however full acceleration isn't working properly. Installed CUDA drivers and nothing, the display is good no issues with the card but I can't utilize its full potential. Unigine Valley crashes and can't perform proper video benchmark (huge dealbreaker here!!!)

Also no luck with audio, if anyone is down for TeamViewer please msg me. Thanks

OS: 10.12.2 (Should I downgrade to 11.11.6??)

CPU: i7-6700K 4.00Ghz
MEM: 32GB DDR4
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO (thinking about using NVME instead but no luck injecting on install)

This is the solution -

Problem 6: You select Nvidia Web Drivers in the menu bar or the Nvidia Driver Manager preference pane but when you restart OS X Default Graphics Driver is checked.
This is caused when your board does not have native NVRAM support such as Gigabyte 100 series boards.

Fix:
setup emulated NVRAM to store the nvda_drv=1 boot flag in boot-args.

Download the Clover installer pkg here, launch the installer and choose customize here:

After that make sure you have selected EmuVariableUefi-64:

Proceed with the Clover upgrade install and reboot when done. After the reboot open up your system preferences and go the the Nvidia Driver Manager. It is a good idea to make sure you have the most up to date driver so go to the updates tab and click the Check Now button. If there is an update, perform the update and reboot when it tell you to. You should be done at this point. If there isn't an update proceed to the next step.

If there was no upgrade, click on the Graphics Drivers tab and then choose the radio button next to the NVIDIA Web Drive. Reboot.

Once rebooted, it should say that you are using the NVIDIA web driver. If it is not working still then you may need to re-run the Clover installer and select "Install RC scripts on target volume".
