Hi I can confirm mine works too on BIOS via bluetooth. I'm on Asus maximus Gene, el capitan and a
Apple Broadcom BCM94360CD. Personally I don't like too much the "short" travel of the keys, but I see two major advantages over the old one:

  1. It's rechargeable
  2. you can always connect the thunderbolt cable and have a wired keyboard in case your bluetooth card fails or you mess badly with your settings.
As per de Del key, I use the function shortcuts: F2, F5, F8 etc

I just installed on a legacy system with EL Capitan 10.11.3, and with it plugged in via USB. At boot up, as bios is first initializing USB devices, I am able to press F8 to enter/select the boot drive, but for some reason it will not recognize the delete key to get into the bios setup.

Once bios posts and at the Clover boot screen, the keyboard appears fully functional.

I'm waiting for my bluetooth gadget to arrive, so I can test out that method of connection.
There is no "Delete" key on the Magic Keyboard which is why it doesn't work to get into the BIOS. I am trying to figure out how to do this as well - I currently still have my USB keyboard connected but it would be nice to find a solution to enter BIOS from the Magic Keyboard.

I have the Fenvi card and have full bluetooth connectivity in BIOS/Post and Clover with my magic keyboard.

you have to check on your motherboard manual on my Asus , hitting F2 does the same thing as delete and get me to the bios, you can try with your mobo using the F keys during post as you'll normally do with Del. It works just as well
