Hi Tazling,

I built a new hackintosh with almost the same configuration as yours, I also chose the haf xb and I love it. My girlfriend calls it the rabbit hutch. I'm a little upset at the moment because the rabbits don't run as fast as they should. I only get about 1500 score in unigine heaven benchmark. Geekbench CPU test was just as yours. It seems my gtx970 is not working correctly. Do you have an idea what I could do about this?

Alas I would not really know where to begin, other than suggesting you review your initial setup (boot params etc) very carefully and check your driver. Are you using latest NVIDIA web driver? the Apple default NVIDIA driver might be slower; I know they are different, because some games will crash with the web-driver and run fine w/OSX default driver, others just the reverse. I hope someone else here can offer more useful advice... sorry, this is my first foray into home-builds and I'm still quite ignorant. Right now my Hackie is working great and I really hope it continues to do so, 'cos I would be here begging for advice if it quit on me. I do suggest rather than burying your question at the tail end of an old thread where it may not be noticed, you start a fresh topic in Graphics forum and attach both your benchmark results (geekbench and Unigine). I will be be interested in the responses... wish I could be of more help; good luck!

You were of great help for me building the machine. I found the error, I was running Heaven at 2560x1440 and yours was 1920x1080. My 1920x1080 Heaven Benchmark was even better then yours.

very glad to hear it -- congratulations on your new Hackie and your excellent Unigine result! and even more glad that my build log was of practical use to someone else; makes the writing/formatting effort totally worthwhile.

Yes your log was really full of helpful details. I'm very happy now with the machine and hope that it remains stable, only thing I dislike is that windows gets more out of the GTX 970, but who wants to work on windows (huuaaaaa). But I don't have much gpu stressing tasks so its ok. What I love the most is that when I throw out the HDDs you nearly can't hear it, almost as quiet as my old iMac 27''. (Had tears in my eyes when I gave it away yesterday, was the most reliable machine ever)

Only issues are that it sometimes does not come back from sleep and sometimes it does and sometimes wlan crashes

Tazling are you able to log into mac app store?
