Dart=0 was already set. The NVIDIA driver manager refuses to stick on "NVIDIA Web Driver". Every time I toggle, it says reboot. I do and it toggles back to default. Dunno if they're related?

This is caused because your board does not have native NVRAM support.
Fix: setup emulated NVRAM to store the nvda_drv=1 boot flag in boot-args.

Ok. I updated my config.plist file from 'dart=0' to 'dart=0 nvda_drv=1'. After following all the instructions on Problem 6, I still have the same issue where the settings refuses to stay toggled on the web driver option.

When following these instructions - https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ierra-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.200564/

I found the BIOS settings in these locations -

Bios Version F20

*CSM
- Located under BIOS, the option only appears when Windows 8/10 Features is set to Windows 8/10

*CFG-Lock - Can’t find it.

*Secure Boot Mode - Located under BIOS.

*OS Type - Under BIOS, but it’s not called OS Type, it’s called Windows 8/10 Features.

*IO SerialPort - Under Peripherals, it’s called Super IO Configuration/Serial Port.

*XHCI Handoff - Under Peripherals/USB Configuration.

Hope this helps someone!

Hey, having trouble finding the 'XCHI Mode' option, I've been able to find the XCHI Handoff with no problem, but as far as I'm aware I need to change XCHI Mode to 'Auto' in order to get my external USB HDDs to show up in Finder/Disk Utility.

My board is Z170XP-SLI, and BIOS version is f20.

If you or anyone could help me out with this or can offer any other solution to fix my USB Drive problem I would appreciate it.. first time hackintosh build haha!

Thanks,
Tim

SPECS:
Intel i7 6700k @4.0GHz
Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI
16gb Corsair Vengance LPX DDR4 Ram 2400mHz
Nvidia GTX 660ti 2Gb

Sometimes my machine wont launch my external drive. Doing a restart, or starting up, with the drive plugged in fixes this every time for me.

I was really hoping something simple like that would work... unfortunately not </3

Do you have this board and are you running High Sierra?

I'm sorry, I don't know what the issue is. Have you tried all USB ports? Are you sure your BIOS are set up correctly for USB to work? Can you use another peripheral with your USB ports?

I have tried all the USB ports.. all my peripherals work in all the USB ports, the drives themselves power up, but they just are not selectable in disk utility or finder and I really have no idea why haha
