[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI

Is there anything wrong with the wifi/Bluetooth card that comes with h170n? I'm asking because in my country Dell DW1560 (BCM94352Z chip) m.2 WiFi/Bluetooth card is not accessible and I would like to use the one that comes with the motherboard.

The card that comes with the board is Intel, so it isn't supported. Your best bet is going to be getting an Apple branded BCM94360CD and a PCIe adapter.

Hi,
i'm relativ new at this community.
First, thanks for all the very good and friendly instructions and manuals in this forum!
I build my first Hackintosh with the Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI two days ago with the help of the
instructions of this thread. Everything works fine. But i have a problem with the RAM.
I've got two 8GB modules.
My config in Clover:
Slot:0 Size:8192 Frequency: 2133 Vendor:Crucial Type: DDR4
Slot:2 Size:8192 Frequency: 2133 Vendor:Crucial Type: DDR4
Channels: Dual Channel SlotCount: 4

The system informations about the Mac show me: 16 GB ???
The detail log tell me that there are problems to got information about the memory.

Where are my mistakes? What are my failures?
Maybe i misunderstood something from the instructions (i'm from Germany) ;-)
Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Robert

Bluetooth still not working, only wifi is ok. OS X recognizes only WIFI hd. I'm sure bluetooth hd is ok.....tried several times to install kext files with KextBeast.....nothing changes!
????

Hi Robert, welcome to the community!

You don't need to specify the RAM module information with the newer versions of Clover. That was valid about 5 months or so ago.

Try removing the info using Clover Configurator and the bootloader should pull all the correct info.

Can you post your config.plist? Also, I'm guessing you are using the BCRM Ram Patch 2 and Repo kexts... correct?

I built this little Hackintosh a couple of days ago, and its all gone remarkably well.
It's the first time i've ever built a computer, and managed to get everything, including iMessage and FaceTime working.

The only issue that I have is the loss of audio after sleeping. Even if i disable to computer sleeping, even the screen sleep function completely messes up the audio. I've tried installing the Rehabman's Codeccommander kexts, going back to several older versions, but nothing seems to work. has any one half, and got around this problem so far. My build is identical to the SnazzyLab build, other than my use of the the wifi-bluetooth that came with the motherboard, rather than switching to the broadcom one.

I was digging a little bit in this thread and found this user that looks like was able to use the default wifi-bluetooth card. I will maybe try it.

Hi, of course!. Here it is my config.plist
and right! I'm using the BCRM Patch ram 2 and BRCM Firmware Repo kexts with KextBeast.

I have a MacBoook Pro that I have changed the default HD to 120G SSD installed with El Capitan. Everything is working fine. Now I'm building a desktop and I would like to use the same SSD that is running on my MacBook. My question is can I put the SSD that is running on my MacBook at my desktop? I have to format it first or can I use the pre-installed OS, after configuring the BIOS e etc?
