[SOLVED] Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080/1070

That article is dated September, new laptops shipped with AMD since then, and not a peep of MacPro.
True but doesn't change this part: "A series of new available positions advertised by Nvidia seek software engineers for the company's Mac graphics drivers team. Qualified applicants should have experience with Apple's Metal cross-platform application programming interface, featured on new Macs as well as iOS devices."

We all know they are working on a new Mac Pro. Just because they went AMD for their laptops doesn't mean it will be the same situation for their desktops.

Hi everyone, I am also tired of waiting for the drivers for my 1060 and I used to buy a card that was 100% compatible with Macosx
I do not want the card to play, for that I already have the 1060 on windows.
What would be the best quality / price option and, if it's possible, fanless?
Thank you very much

Guys, I think it's only a matter of time: http://appleinsider.com/articles/16...n-graphics-for-revolutionary-new-mac-products

The rumor is the new Mac Pro's will be powered by Nvidia (most likely Pascal architecture). If so, we may have some sort of hope here.

I think I'm tending to believe this. The way Nvidia has been handling this situation feels very much like a non-disclosure agreement, and Apple in the past has been adamant that new products get support for hardware before competition (think of intel CPU releases) Now I know it's a bit different than an already existing video card, but I feel by now either Nvidia would have supported the released drivers, or said they wouldn't be... unless they've agreed to not disclose this. That would make sense to not tip Apple's hand to a product announcement.

It might be the next macOS that gets the support for Pascal. Or it might be the next macOS gets support for GTX 20x0 - who knows... but the NDA thing does make sense.

Current MacPro 15 requires 5 display support. Desktops, i.e. imminent iMac 27, current Mac Pro, drive a 6 display requirement. In 2009, AMD introduced Eyefinity 6 display support on Radeon and FirePro graphics cards. Nvidia stops at 5 displays. Desktops drove laptops to AMD.
