I'm having the same problem I think. Mines a 980ti. I already installed the AppleGraphicsControl.kext from the first post. How do I revert to the original?
I use a 980ti as primary, and a Titan Black as secondary GPU. I never patched AppleGraphicsControl, and I have no GPU-related problems on Sierra 10.12.2. I wonder why the AppleGraphicsControl patch is necessary for some.

Did you follow this install "guide?"

This guide is quite vague, but I sort of followed parts of it. I use an SSDT to rename my primary GPU to GFX1 in order to work with the Mac Pro 6,1 SMBIOS. I think that's more "stock" than the AppleGraphicsControl patch.

I tried renaming my GPU with an SSDT fix. I tried following this but it didn't seem to work for me.

Sure, here are my kexts and config. Please note that the SMBIOS values are blank so you need to generate your own or use what you already have. I am using Mac 6,1. Also I use USB audio so have not done any audio patching.

Edit - from my original post, I went ahead and added the USB 3.0 kext and patch per @nmano instructions and all ports now work at their rated speeds. My attachments don't reflect the one change but you can get the info in the 1st post on this thread.

How does your 980ti work if you don't have Nvidia web drivers selected in the system parameters in your config.plist?

hi
It's been a while I following you all on this interesting build; around a lot of builders are considering the z170 the one to go to make a good hackintosh.
Instead, I think the x99 one it's got a positive side, considering the price especially.

Can I post here my hardware list to get you opinions?

Hi, did you guys know any guide for 5820K and X99PRO for Sierra? i'm not finding anyone.

Thanks.

SSDT Work without X99 USB 3_Injector
I tried to do this a long time ago but today I finally got a breakthrough.
Just drop SSDT-XHC2.AML into EFI folder and add port limit patch in config.plist.
Happy New Year to you all and don’t forget to like my post!
Enjoy!

Good, silent consent.

Then:

- Gigabyte x99-UD4

- Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 or Intel Xeon E5-2630 v4

- Corsair Vengeance LPX Kit 32GB DDR4 2400 Mhz

- Crucial Mx 300 m.2 275 GB ssd

- Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB Media

- Nvidia GTX 650 ti ( later, for now I use the owned Geforce 520...)

- BCM94360CD 802.11 Dual wit the pci.e adapter

- some HDD for backup

What Do You Think about it ?

I must have deleted that while removing all of my SMBIOS settings or made the post when I still had my 780 which doesn't need web drivers, but 980 Ti will not work unless you have the web drivers enabled.
