Thank you so much. I have a real mac pro but I'll take any comparison or info at this stage.
No, specific build or version doesn't matter, as long as it's 970 on sierra.

Glitch is subtle - bottom info bar is cut off diagonally at the right hand side.
Thanks again.

Still no joy with this new update. Already have the fix for web drivers. My build is 17.1, not sure if that's the problem.

Aha, thank you - so that's what the original post above means when it says "If you've installed the drivers before, you may get a notification to update to the new drivers from the built in System Preferences pane."

I thought the driver would update itself to the latest version even if you didn't update your macOS version. Instead, you're saying that each specific macOS version has a specific version of the driver for it, and that driver won't work with other macOS versions. Thank you - I can work with that (especially if it's nice enough to automatically prompt me to update the driver after I upgrade macOS).

Exactly. I don't know why they do that but thats how it works - I think you can edit a file somewhere to make an older one work but I'm not sure how. I doubt they make a new driver every point release of macOS, they probably just certify it works and then change the version info to run on the new macOS version.
You might need to go into the Nvidia settings area and click on check for updates, thats what I did although I have see it prompt by itself before.

This is super cute. After a black screen problem on 10.12.1, I updated remotely to 10.12.2 and got my screen back, then I used the drivers and bang, black screen again!
I was intending to do a fresh install but then the same will probably happen. So basically I'm kinda stuck here or I go back to Snow Leopard or just ditch hackintosh forever.. this sucks really hard.

Did you try AGDfix for the Nvidia card?

That pretty much takes care of the blank screen issue after installing the Nvidia web drivers & activating it using clover's plist

But the thing is, I don't have a 15/17/ancient SMBIOS def. I have the old and trusty 14,2 so I don't need that as it will patch those aforementioned boards with "None" IIRC.
And I know clover's "web" flag is the common answer here but I've been running the flag since Sierra came out (it's even on my guide), so it baffles me how some people miss that part when doing a new build but this is a build that was running perfect on 10.12.0.

I'm typing from the hack right now, uninstalled the drivers and it's working in its sweet flickering mode.

Can I ask - I have a hackintosh still on El Capitan, and 3 screens on 2 GTX 960's which worked fine until yesterday ...

I did a security update from Apple in the usual update apps bit and on rebooting it only showed one monitor, and prompted to update the nvidia drivers. It said it couldnt find an update - I later found out the nvidia site was down. I decided to remove the nVidia drivers and try and reinstall them but whichever version I use it says it is not suitable for my version of OS.

I have tried both download versions for 10.11.6 (which is the OS I have)

Any ideas ?
I had thought about upgrading to Sierra but this didnt go so well last time and I ended up dumping it and re-doing the hackintosh.
I also have time machine backups but this just seems to revert the OS to the previous version when restoring a backup.

Thanks.
