Skylake Intel HD 530 Graphics Glitch Fix

hi i want to know how to make work dual monitor with HD 530

i have 2 ASUS VC239H (1080p) monitors but only one works via HDMI or DVI, but not 2 at the same time

my motherboard its Gigabyte H170n-wifi with i7 6700 and 16GB DDR4 RAM (corsair LPX 2133)

For context, dual monitors works with the 530 on my machine on el capitan if I boot to the HDMI monitor and turn on the DVI monitor at the desktop.

I have been unable to get dual monitors to work under Sierra. I have all the same fixes I had for el cap (inject intel, ig-platform-id, 4 port, patches to reset the connector types on the two ports to HDMI and DVI, and because I'm using the Mac Pro 6,1 smbios, the agdpfix). For Sierra I added the glitch fixes from this thread, and the glitches are gone. But now if I boot to either monitor alone and turn on the other at the desktop, both go dark and never come back up. I followed a guide specific to my mobo, and in another comment, the author of that guide suggested I modify some BIOS settings, but I haven't had time to try his suggestions. I haven't heard anyone specifically say Sierra works with dual monitors on the 530, many people on the 530 held off on Sierra until these fixes appeared so there may be more folks trying dual monitors now.

Ma I ask you, which Hardware Setup you have? You mentioned that you've two gpus, right? Does this work with hd530 only? Maybe it is useful, that you post your config.

Yes I am using just HD530. Two GPU's not working at the same time. And I still don't get it how this sleeps work 'cause nothing any special attachment in my config.plist. But its working without any problem I tried today almost 20 more times and still waking.

Here is my config but as I told you nothing special in it.

Hi OK I think i got the patch going and the glitches vanished from upper left window. BUT instead i got glitches in Chrome, Safari works better but theres no video, Apple Map is black etc etc. Q: Do You experience the same thing or is everything perfect?

0x19120000 also works for me. Updated the post to 0x19120000 as it appears that this is the most common platform-id. Also changed wording a bit to state that this is my experience and others might try different values.

At or in Clover screen use Intel fake ID 0x19120003, ig platform id 0a206080, you should get Intel SKL CRB graphics. Do not inject intel, just the ids.


There is still the upper left screen glitch buy most apps work well.

And as Telepati mentioned go to bios and select 64mb for allocated memory igfx.

To reach bios screen on most motherboards hit delete during boot when the board screen pops up.

For all those of you asking about quicksync it has nothing to do with this patch or lack thereof. You must use a system definition such as imac14,1 (many MacBook Pro definitions also work). Not sure why this is needed but it is. Maybe has something to do with applegraphicsdevicepolicy. Anyway if you need quicksync that is the way to do it and there isn't a significant tradeoff that i have seen. Now I am really hoping someone can figure out how to apply the glitch fix while also using a secondary video card (nvidia).

why my /Library/Extensions folder not contain AppleIntelSKL.* kext file . I used MultiBeast and select HD 530.
