I use FCPX a lot and I just came across a post talking about Intel Quick Sync and how it helps with rendering times.

How do you check if that is enabled?

And how do you enable it if it is disabled?

I have a i7-4790K with 4600HD integrated gpu + MSI GTX 960 + GA-Z97N-WIFI and I'm on El Capitan

Thank you P1LGRIM. I have read up on Intel Quick Sync. I just want to know if there is somewhere in CLOVER or in BIOS where I can check to see if it is enabled or how to make sure that it is enabled (system wide). My concern is not on how to use it. I just want to know if it is enabled and working as I have both the Intel 4600HD and GTX 960 in my build.

Intel Quick Sync is not enabled in the BIOS or in Clover - The support is included in the operating system for apps that are able to take advantage of it.

Depending on his hardware he may require some DSDT edits to get the OS to recognize the Quick Sync capability. I think most of the toleda scripts for the 4600 IGP should work, but I may have had to modify it a bit on my setup (I forget exactly).

Thanks zakklol. Where would I go to get the toleda scripts for the 4600 igp?

Download and install MacX Video Converter, they have a trial version on their website. It shows if you have Quick Sync enabled on the main screen.
