I patched acpi files by following the guide but my computer turn off or reboot when entering deep sleep, sometime it reboot when waking from sleep. Where can the problem come from ?

Curious on peoples experiences with this laptop, is anyone using this as a daily driver? What issues or problems have you encountered?

I'm using mine as a daily driver (since yesterday!)
Since the Skylake Graphics Glitch is fixed, the only issues left for me are:

  • Brightness Hotkeys
  • Multitouch TouchPad with Gestures

For now I'm using VoodoPS2Controller.kext and it's been fine. USB-C might be an issue as well, but I don't have any devices to test that.

Has anyone looked into the status of ASPM for the NVMe SSD?

EDIT: That being said MAKE SURE you backup your stuff. The Laptop was on battery, after resuming from sleeping (I opened the lid, display turned on and I logged in) and did stuff for a couple minutes. My system was running perfectly fine and then randomly crashed for the first time. Now fsck reports an invalid record count and I have to reinstall macOS.

Using as a daily driver. Thank you for good guide. Installed without problems.

1. I use SATA Samsung Evo 850 SSD, so i don't need of nvme patches.
2. Using MacBook9,1 SMBIOS with HWPEnable instead of MacBookPro12,1 and SSDT.aml
3. Using ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext with BRT6 Method edit (see 9550 thread) for brightness keys (also configured Info.plist for bearable scroll and for right working f keys).
For now, "Launchpad" and "mission control" cannot be configured for touchpad gestures with this driver. Switching desktops, minimize, close application, force quit works well.
The gestures is only issues for me.

EDIT: Reboot is not working (not issue for me). Shutdown, sleep work well.
I use "keyboard shortcut gestures" to make launchpad and mission control open for 3 finger up/down swipes (The first is "14 - Notification center (keyboard shortcut)" and the second is "19 - Finder").
ADD: Added HiDPI resolutions , but cannot see them in display preferences except 960x540 (even with option key). I use RDM to change resolution to 1366x768 HiDPI (its ok for me).

What exact model are you on? Did you apply exactly the DSDT edits listed or some additional ones?
Mind linking the Skylake Graphics Fix? Also, mind attaching CLOVER.zip (strip out your serial numbers though!)

Can you share the PS2 Driver edits? Also, mind attaching CLOVER.zip (strip out your serial numbers though!)

I still can't get wifi to work with a DW1560 after the update. It won't turn on. I'm using the 2 Bcm kexts and fakePCIID but it either has the x wifi symbol , or empty and won't turn on. It was really hard for some reason to get it to work too... sigh...

Hi, TheParadox2
My XPS 13 the specs same to you,
You can share your clover for me? please.
thanks a lot.

Figured it out... it was the SMBIOS -- set it to a macbookpro.

You can share your clover for me? please.
thanks a lot.

Sure can! Also, I want to point out if your having trouble detecting the SSD at the installer, you must dump and patch your DSDT files. Seems my laptop with the i7 is different than most of the i5's out there. Here is my clover, be advised the SSDT/DSDT are mine, and you really should dump and patch your own.
