If you update and don't have a working computer because you didn't have a backup drive then it's your own fault. Get a second drive and use CCC and upgrade the test drive first before your main.

Smooth install from app store, no issues

asiga: I would say it's a pretty safe bet at this point to consider the 530 dead from this point on for macOS revisions.

You might try going to your network connection setting and see if your wifi is listed. If not press the plus sign in lower left corner and add wifi. I had that problem on one of the Betas.

Sadly, macOS detects no WiFi card at all.

Does this update fix the black bars appearing in the upper right corner when using the Intel 530 graphics?

Warning: Like the topics told in postings #1 and #2:
• The patched NVME-driver from 10.12.0 is crashing => have to wait for a new patching script for 10.12.1
• The beta WebDriver-367.10.10.05b01 is not working for now => have to wait too (will not take long usually)

I tried the update on a clone on an external SSD. 10.12.1 is working wihout pateche NVME-driver and without webdriver (standard Mac driver with reduced resolution).

No, as previous posters noted.

My current model MacBook Pro 15 update hit a few bumps. First there was a KP, then a "something went wrong" message, black screen, login screen, another 15 minutes of updating system, then finally completed. I have a pretty vanilla system since I use this for work. Just keep this in mind if your Hack does something weird. It could all be perfectly normal and just let the system try to figure itself out first.

Well, the only thing is that now you do not use the web Nvidia drivers.
