I´m a little bit confused about what guide to follow when install El Capitan on my build
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI
CPU/Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K
CPU Cooling: Noctua NH-L9x65
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (32GB)
Harddrive: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
PSU/Power supply: Corsair CS 550 Watt
GPU/Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 950

Should I use the normal guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/u...pitan-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.172672/

or

The Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-el-capitan-on-the-skylake-h170n-wifi.178197/

or if there is I specific guide for the Gigabyte GA-Z170N-WIFI??

ammulder's excellent guide is based upon tonymacx86's guide. tonymacx86's guide is a good starting point to learn the El Capitan installation process. ammulder's guide goes into a lot of detail to cover both the use of Intel on-board graphics (HD530) and/or a graphics card.

Your GTX 950 will require the Nvidia web drivers.

Since Sierra is just a couple of days away from being released (September 20), I recommend not using the Mac Pro 3,1 system definition since Sierra dropped support for the Mac Pro 3,1. Use the iMac14,2 system definition as it works well with El Capitan and Sierra. It will be the new default system definition.

So you recommend me following ammulder's in depth GA-H170N-WIFI guide? @Stork

I know that Sierra won´t work with Mac Pro 3,1. You have said that it is possible to change from Mac Pro 3,1 to iMac14,2 later on in the Multibeast app: just selecting Customize > System Definitions > iMac > iMac14,2.

I don´t going to update to Sierra for a while because since this is my first Hackintosh I want to get more familiar with it before update to I maybe bit more unstable version like Sierra. Especially now when Seirra is brand new!

I recommend that you read and understand tonymacx86's guide. Then, you'll be able to understand and use ammulder's guide specifically for the H170N

Correct. But, since you're doing your initial install, use the iMac14,2 system definition from the beginning. One less thing to worry about later.

Oh, I concur. I've been using Mac's since Mose was a child. I don't recommend production system adapt to a new version of OS X / macOS until the .3 update. However, Sierra maybe different in that it's not full of surprises like El Capitan and previous OS X versions. But, I'll wait and see. Don't want to rush to fail.

yea I know that ammulder's H170N guide is totally based on the orginal tonymacx86's guide and I have understood both guides good so... The H170n and the Z170n are very similar boards so I think that I going for ammulder's H170N guide right away! Does it sounds right?
sorry for being scared for taking decisions on my own! :lolno:

Go for it!
