Computer Specs

Gigabyte bios I am using 1c currently Works for both rev 1.0 + 1.3 of the board has SLIC 2.1.
Simplest way to upgrade bios without usb put it in your hdd root dir or on EFI partition where clover is boot pc hold end button and update using built in utility. NOTE: bios is attached in the post below

-Intel core i3 / i5/ i7/
-GT 640 / 740/ 650 / 760
-16gb Ram
-3TB HD Segate
-256gb SSD
-Apple wifi card

Bios Options
-Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 v1.3 Bios U1c
-Enable AHCI
-Disable Intel Virtualization Technology (I enabled it as i run vmware fusion for virtual machines)
-Disable VT-D

Installing Guides (this install was simple and very straight forward)

Step 1
Build a UEFI USB stick via Unibeast guide is here
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ierra-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.200564/

Step 2 Boot via USB stick and use appropriate Flags for your specific Configuration

Step 3
Install MacOS Sierra and load appropriate kexts I have uploaded my Efi folder with all the kexts that I have used my kexts also contain HWmonitor app

Step 4
Make partition bootable by loading Clover once clover is installed use clover configurator and change smbios ( i am using iMac14,2 i have used this on a i3 3225, i5 3570k, and i7 2700k everything works all USB ports work in 2.0 mode) for USB 3.0 as stated above you will need a compatible PCI usb3.0 as there are no drivers made for the one on this mainboard

I Also used clover (3726) here is a link
https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/files/Installer/Clover_v2.3k_r3726.zip/download

For Audio i used the Clover ALC120 its in the attached files works perfect, also I loaded the HDMI audio kext as well tv works perfect :D

Run Apps from Anywhere is now missing from SysPrefs -> Security & Privacy -> General (To add it type following in terminal)

Code:
 sudo spctl --master-disable

Hi !
Thanks for your post, very useful.
I use the same configuration as you, except that I use an i7 3770K.
Did you manage to get speedstep working ? I'm stuck a 3,5 GHz :(

Elite, I've been using your guides for this board for years! Bought it new and built my first hack in 2011. Thanks so much for continuing to do these. I'm on 10.11.6 right now, will use this to go to 10.12 soon. How is Sierra's stability on this machine so far? I'm only running it on my H170 Wifi Skylake Hack right now. SpeedStep working on any of your tested CPU's with that SMBIOS?

Z68MA-D2H-B3 (U1C BIOS)
Intel Core i3-2105
EVGA GT640
Micron M500 120GB SSD
Samsung 1TB 5400RPM
4x4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz

I have a i7 3770k as well.. however i have not loaded Sierra on that yet didnt have time to test yet.. its thanks givings this weekend.. next week when I have some free time I will load it on my i7 -3770k and report back as well.. but meanwhile I recommend creating a SSDT.aml.. Also if you used my kexts from my efi folder please REMOVE NullCpuPowerManagement.kext or else that wont work!!!
here is the guide for it

I hope this answers your question The cpu frequencies change as I use the processor for more resource hungry activities. Secondly, stability is the same no issues, no KP, for me its like having a OEM Vanilla mac :D

Hi Elite2k,

Thanks for your answer. I had already removed NullCPUPowerManagement.kext. It sems that the issue was only cosmetic, because I have erased HWMonitor preferences and now it shows speedstep. However I only get 2
steps : 1,6 and 3,5, but that's better than nothing.
Thanks for your link of SSDT, I'll try that asap !

Finally I managed to get all Pstates working with Piker Alpha's script.
First cpu was stucked at 800 MHz, but i7 3770k needs -w 3 command
Example: sudo ~/ssdtPRGen.sh -turbo 3900 -w 3

Now all Pstates are working.
Thank you very much !

glad you have it working would you mind posting your SSDT.aml save someone with i7 3770k time :D

Hey Elite,

Any issues with sleep? I'm getting a KP/reboot consistently after waking the computer from sleep... Never had that before with this board. I've had really poor luck with Sierra on all my hacks that are pre-Skyake :(
