Installation

UniBeast Installation Thumb Drive

Use the Tonymacx86 guide here for making the UniBeast installation thumb drive. Note: You can use a 8GB thumb drive, but I recommend using a 16GB one so you can also add MultiBeast and other files on it. When the installation thumb drive is made add the following files on it:

MultiBeast Sierra

EFI Mounter V3

Toleda’s audio_cloverALC-120 command

Clover Configurator

Nvidia webdrivers

I used the BIOS settings from Stork’s gene build linked here.

Installation Procedures

1:Insert the thumb drive in one of the usb ports than start your computer and hit F8.

2: Select (name usb b)UEFI.

3: When you reach the clover install screen select the thumb drive, hit enter and follow the steps in the OS X installer.

4: When the installation is done and your computer reboots, hit f8 again and select your thumb drive again.

5: Select the disk you chose to install OS X on.

6: Complete the installation.

7: Welkom to Sierra.


Drivers

Drag MultiBeast from the thumb drive to your Desktop and open it. If it won’t open, go to system preferences > Security and Privacy > Allow apps downloaded from > anywhere or like shown in this guide when you are on Sierra. When you’re in MultiBeast download the following:

When you installed the drivers from MultiBeast, run the Nvidia web drivers (note: ONLY HDML works) and hit restart when finished. When your computer reboots again, hit F8, select the thumb drive and boot to your system drive.


Fixes

Now, if you boot from the system drive, you won’t reach Sierra. To fix this, use EFI Mount V3 to mount the EFI partition of your USB installation thumb drive and your system drive. Than replace the EFI folder from the system drive with the one from the thumb drive. Now you should be able to boot from the system drive

Sound fix: Use EFI Mount V3 to mount your system drive and go to EFI > Clover > config.plist. Open it with a text editor, scroll down to RtVariables > CsrActiveConfig and make sure it’s set to 0x67 like shown in the picture below:

This disables the SIP so you can use the Clover_alc-120 Command; you can change it back afterwards. Now restart and this time boot to your system drive using f8 to set your system drive to the number 1 boot priority in BIOS, select your system drive from the Clover menu and boot. When you are back on your Desktop, run the Clover_alc-120 Command from Toleda; answer the y/n questions with 3 times with "y". When the command is done, restart and the audio should be working.

You can now use Cover Configurator's Magic Wand to create a SMBIOS.

As far as I know, everything should be working by now with exception of iMessage and Facetime which I'm going to try and fix later. Feel free to give suggestions/ask questions. (Note: I've remove the board-ID and serial number in the attached config.plist)

This is fantastic as my system is nearly identical to yours.

The difference is that I'm using the Samsung 950 Pro m.2 512GM drive as my boot, in the m.2 slot, but using extra PCI lanes.

No problem hooking up a Samsung 850 SSD - got plenty of spots for that. The problem is that I had to jump through hoops just to make the Asus MB & BIOS recognize the 950 m.2 drive in the first place. And I have no idea if simply putting Mac OS on an 850 SSD will work for booting.

Any ideas?

Yes you can just hook up the 850 and install OS X on it and you will be fine. But do you want to use the 950 pro also?

I want to build a hackintosh similar to your setup but I'm thinking of getting an i7-6700k and installing el cap instead. do you know if that will work? also, i can't find crucial ballistix locally. can i use a crucial gskills instead or are there any other alternatives? Thanks in advance!

Installing el cap won't make a difference. The different RAM modul isn't going to make any difference either. But why do you take a 6700k with a 970 when you can take a 6600k with a 1070 instead. But anyways it won't make a big deal... most importantly: take the same motherboard. If you have any more questions, let me know.
