CUDA!! A good sign! I religiously check this thread every two days or so for any updates...

I escalated a support ticket about the possibility of a Pascal web-driver a few weeks ago to Nvidia via their Mac GPU support team. All they would give me was the ol' "we can't comment on future releases" blah blah blah.

hey guys! been watching this thread for a while eagerly awaiting the web drivers for my 1070. Just a quick question will the web drivers support all versions of pascal cards I.E i have a zotac amp extreme 1070 will this web driver work with that card straight away?

@natebgamer: Its still not confirmed (nor denied) that there will be drivers for the pascal cards and you ask us that question? It would be nice if there would be an answer... but... noone (except nvidia themselve) can give you a qualified answer... sorry.

I totally get this, I think you misunderstood the question so I will rephrase.

As history goes are 3rd party cards supported by the web drivers or have the drivers needed to be tweaked to work with those 3rd party cards e.g a nvidia 980 as opposed to a zotac 980 (3rd party)

Hey there, I have the same video card, and yes it will work perfectly fine with nVidia drivers, just as it does on windows. No big difference really, except for OS.

What version of the drivers that are compatible with your GTX 1070? I ask because no one has confirm that the latest Nvidia driver for Sierra has support for the GTX 1000 series cards.

He say it will work just as it does on windows, i assume he is talking once the drivers is updated for pascal

I agree, more specifics are needed, driver version etc....

Maybe they release driver with CUDA 8 for macOS... It seems CUDA official release must be ready next months.
