How to Create a macOS Sierra Public Beta Installation USB

I get a circle with a slash through it when i try to load the os install on the clover screen anyone know how to resolve this, i've disabled secure boot but no change.

When doing a fresh install and using Clover Bootloader (Legacy config), do i put FakeSMC in L/E or in EFI?

Because El Capitan had FakeSMC in L/E. I had no kexts in EFI

Confirm: After finishing macOS Sierra installation, i can only boot using nv_disable=1 with my 660 Ti and the screen resize. I used latest Clover Bootloader with Legacy options.

What is the difference between (UEFI Mode) and (Legacy Mode)? Thanks

The difference between UEFI Boot and Legacy boot is the process that the firmware uses to find the boot target.

Legacy Boot is the boot process used by BIOS firmware. The firmware maintains a list of installed storage devices that may be bootable (Floppy Disk Drives, Hard Disk Drives, Optical Disk Drives, Tape Drives, etc...) and enumerates them in a configurable order of priority. One the POST procedure has completed, the firmware loads the first sector of each of the storage targets into memory and scans it for a valid Master Boot Record (MBR). If a valid MBR is found, the firmware passes execution to the boot loader code found in the MBR which allows the user to select a partition to boot from. If one is not found, it proceeds to the next device in the boot order. If no MBR is found at all, the user is presented with the famous "Please insert system disk yadda yadda yadda"

UEFI boot is the boot process used by UEFI firmware. The firmware maintains a list of valid boot volumes called EFI Service Partitions. During the POST procedure the UEFI firmware scans all of the bootable storage devices that are connected to the system for a valid GUID Partition Table (GPT). Unlike a MBR, a GPT does not contain a boot loader. The firmware itself scans the GPTs to find an EFI Service Partition to boot from. If no EFI bootable partition is found, the firmware can fall back on the Legacy Boot method. If both UEFI boot and Legacy boot fail, the famous "Please insert system disk yadda yadda yadda" will be presented.

In general, UEFI boot is more desirable.

Hey guys, one question:

In this step:

18. Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/ and replace default config.plist with one of the attached config.plist examples.
19. Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other/ and add FakeSMC.kext
20. (Optional) Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other/ and add your ethernet kext
21. (Optional) Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other/ and add NullCPUPowerManagement.kext

Should I replace the CLOVERX64.efi and BOOTX64.efi too? I red it somewhere. But, why? And where I can find them?

Why not just follow the steps?

BTW, since we're not telepathic, we need to know your system components. See the tonymacx86 Forum Rules & Policies on signature block components.

Additionally, please provide complete details in your Profile.

Mobo: motherboard manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model (e.g., i7-4770K)
Graphics: Video card manufacturer/model and/or Intel Integrated Graphics version (e.g., HD4600)

See my Profile items to the left of my post, under my name.

HI i have tried to follow Xavi16 thread in order to get the perfect result for my setup.

Unfortunately I use Sierra on my MacBook Pro and when I try to install the new Clover EFI bootloader 2.3k i get this warring. "The package is incompatible with this version of Mac OS and may fail to install".

I have tried to ignore the warring but then I get this error "The installation failed".

Can any provide me with a version that support Sierra ? I have tried UniBeast, but the install will not work perfectly like Xavi16 guide. There I hope someone can help me in order to get this clover working on Sierra.
