Just wanted to share my appreciation for the work you have put into this, I'm one of those people downloading your files... :) I got pretty much everything working using your Clover config + kexts on my Gigabyte X99 UD5 with 5960X and GeForce 980.

Needs fine-tuning, but it's already a working, usable Sierra installation. Added bonus is Bluetooth using the internal stock (M2) Gigabyte Bluetooth/WiFi card, which I never managed to get working before. Not sure if functional WiFi is also a possibility (my understanding from the discussions here was no), but not going to bother with that for now.

[edit]
Oh and one more thing that may be helpful to others, I set my XHCI mode BIOS setting to 'Enabled'. That seemed to work better than any of the other settings, which caused the installer boot process to get stuck at 'Waiting on … boot-uuid-media'.

This will be next on my list after I install Sierra 10.12.0, thanks Nmano!!!

This was a smooth upgrade. Just followed the instructions on the Clover upgrade and it's working so far. Will do more testing and report back.

Hi, Lokicat, do you mind sharing your files? I also have X99-UD4 and 5820K, the latest security update killed my 10.11.6 setup, I have too little knowledge to follow this guide......

Sure, here are my kexts and config. Please note that the SMBIOS values are blank so you need to generate your own or use what you already have. I am using Mac 6,1. Also I use USB audio so have not done any audio patching.

Edit - from my original post, I went ahead and added the USB 3.0 kext and patch per @nmano instructions and all ports now work at their rated speeds. My attachments don't reflect the one change but you can get the info in the 1st post on this thread.

Happy to see this thread. Of course, thanks to @nmano and everyone else who works so hard on this. My GA-X99-UD4 fried itself a few weeks back, so I've been working on getting my new X99 Deluxe up and running. Hoping to throw Sierra on a spare SSD this weekend for final testing, and then upgrade if we finally get Pascal support.

Pascal support?

thank you for the files. using those,I was able to install and run through the setup. I've run into an issue after installing the Nvidia drivers wherein after booting, I can only see a cursor against a black background. have you run into this issue? I'm on a GTX 970.
