New Method for Enabling NVIDIA Web Drivers in Clover

To everyone who can't get web drivers working and you're 100% sure you edited your config.plist properly, double check you don't still have nv_disable=1 somewhere. This setting overrides the NvidiaWeb key.

Didn't have to do anything regarding Nvidia driver on Sierra. Only the usual steps that I always do when I install updates: install Sierra, reboot in the lowest resolution in which GTX 960 works by default in OS X, install Nvidia driver, run AGDFix.app. Reboot. Running at 4K.

I've ran clover now for a couple of years without a problem with my Geforce 650 Ti. It ran native without the NVIDIA Alternate drivers. In the process of upgrading from El Capitan to Sierra I have to include the command nv_disable=1 or my screen goes black. I've tried the NVIDIA Web Drivers with no success with the new commands without success.

Does anyone know (or how I can find out) if the GeForce 650 Ti graphic is still compatible? I can run my backup fine of El Capitan.

Additionally I'm using iMac 12,2 profile if that makes any difference.

Is there an advantage of using Nvidia drivers over the ones in the macOS? The reason I'm asking is that I have 2 CustoMacs with 650 Ti and have used the native OS drivers for very long time and haven't had any issues upgrading to new OS' since Mavericks, I think.

Have you had any problems with Sierra? I have. Which Clover are you using?

Absolutely no issues. To be honest, it felt more like an update instead of installing a new version of OS. That said, while I use the nvidia driver for the rig with the GTX 960 on it, the other 2 rigs with the 650 Ti in them are using the native OS driver, as I mentioned. OS X & mac OS recognizes the card natively.

I'm using Clover 3761 but I'm sure the latest version would work as well (3763). The key is to create the 10.12 folder under kexts and copy all your kexts from 10.11 to 10.12.

Good luck!

EDIT: BTW, I don't know what Mac definition you are using. Maybe that's the reason you have been using the Nvidia driver? I have been using iMac 13,1.

raketa, you mentioned that you are using the iMac12,2 system definition.... I was doing so myself and also was unable to get my GTX 960 working in Sierra, although it had worked flawlessly in El Capitan.

I switched to iMac14,2 and my GTX 960 started working instantly after the next boot... why don't you give this a try?

I've also never had a problem using the native OS drivers for 5+ years.

I have two kexts in the 10.12 directory (FakeSMC and NullCPU...) with using iMax 12,2 since I have a Sandy Bridge MB. The only reason I'm trying to use the NVIDIA drives is due to the black screen as explained in the forums. I'm starting to believe my problem is something else. When I use nv_disable=1 everything seems to be fine with Sierra (other than the graphics of course). Could I by change look a your config.plist file?

I'm going to try again to use the native drivers to see what happens. Thanks for the input.

I'have a problem : I don't see this new parameter NvidiaWeb. I use clover configurator 4.32.1 and I don't see SystemParameters/NvidiaWeb... Can you help me ? Thank you !!

Clover Configurator 4.32.1 does not recognize NvidiaWeb yet so it deletes it when you save. You have to use a text editor to modify config.plist until CC is updated.
