I have the Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q monitor and can confirm that G-Sync appears to be working in MacOS with these drivers. I had to click the lock to make changes, check "Enable G-Sync" in the G-Sync tab, and then reboot. The monitor's light turned red indicating that it was now in G-Sync mode. The first time I've ever seen that while in MacOS.

Based on posted dates, Yosemite 10.10 released October 16, 2014. And NVIDIA drivers for Maxwell were posted October 30, 2014 ( http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/79077/en-us ). So about 2 weeks afterwards.

Early beta Maxwell drivers (GM107) were already released a few months earlier during Yosemite closed (or open?) beta phase. Drivers for the "big" Maxwells (GM204) also arrived during beta phase.

I don't think that Nvidia's driver releases are necessarily linked to OS X releases, it's done when it's done. Only think we know for sure is that El Capitan won't receive any notable updates.

Did anyone yet get 5k/DualMonitor to work? I'm on a GTX 970 with a Dell UP2715k which worked great before except from the known boot crash.

Installed the new Nvidia Drivers after upgrading to Sierra. Basically the driver seems to load but the screen stays black. I can connect via VNC/Screens and change resolution to 2560x1440 for example and get good performance but it looks like the monitors aren't detected somehow. The resolution gets set to 1024x768 by default like no monitors were connected.

I've of course change to the new Nvidia config entry in config.plist and also tried enabling/disabling some injections in clover. No changes so far.

Ideas?

Try turning off Inject Nvidia

If your NVRAM is working properly you will not need CLOVER entries for Web drivers.

Interestingly when i leave the monitor turned on while booting the crash/reboot happens as always as soon as it detects the monitors. Normally i switched them on a few seconds later then and everything worked again. This doesn't happen now. When i switch it back on it switches to sleep mode instantly as the signal coming from the card doesn't seem to be ok or no signal at all.

There's a new method for enabling the NVIDIA Web Drivers in the latest versions of Clover. It can be turned on and off by editing /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist to add SystemParameters/NvidiaWeb. This takes the place of nvda_drv=1 boot flag, which will not work in macOS Sierra.
