I didn't use Clover installer but the mcdonnelltech kext package and copied the folders to EFI.

You should use the Clover installer.

Now I created the folder named origin under EFI/Clover/ACPI, what I need to do next? Reboot and press F4 in the Clover starting menu?

Yes. That will collect OEM ACPI files in ACPI/origin.

It is covered in the ACPI patching guide... you should already have done this before as you have files in ACPI/patched...

See guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/

Does this helped for solved the issue?
BTW: I choose shutdown and it really shutdown. What I did is just created the folder origin under EFI/Clover/ACPI.

Files in ACPI/origin have no effect.

It does allow me to compare your native ACPI files with the files you have in ACPI/patched. It appears the files in ACPI/patched are not patched from your own native files, and likely originate from a different computer.

See guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/

FYI, I also get the reboot during shutdown every now and then... I haven't looked into why but I just press the power button during POST to fully shut down.

Hi,

I am bit confuse regarding step 2.

2) install AirportBrcm4360 US/FCC and the Handoff Lisai9093 kext patches

Which files are these? They are not the standard kext files right?

That's right. These aren't standard kext files. They're kext patches. You need to refer to the airport v2 thread for more details on there two kext patches. Essentially you need to use Xcode to modify the clover configuration plist to add these kext patches.

Reading the V2 thread and trying to understand what is happening is a bit confusing I guess. Would it be possible to put together a more detailed guide or help me out remotely sometime?

It's probably best to keep reading honestly. If you have specific questions, post it and someone can try to help. I actually asked the exact same questions you're asking so just read through the thread. It's a lot of pages but it's also a lot of repeated questions. You have no idea how many times I visited that airport v2 thread amongst all the other ones that rehabman made.

Running a hackintosh is not a trivial thing. Keep that in mind. The stuff you learn along the way is critical in keeping OS X running after the initial install. It does NOT end.

Good luck.
