HP Probook Installer Yosemite without Clover

Quick question. Is all this done with 4GB of RAM or does it matter that I am trying with 8GB installed? Me and an IT friend of mine are doing this. He is familiar with Clover, extensions, etc. The Mavericks tutorial was much easier to follow for me, and I did all that by myself successfully. He created 2 separate flash drives for this Clover method. Don't know what he is doing wrong. I tried with partitioning one flash drive and failed. At any rate, we will get it. Has to be something simple we are missing. Formatting the flash drive is child's play. I ran into trouble following the deleting and replacing files etc. I got as far as booting from the EFI>Boot>BOOTx64.efi file, but was unable to reach the installer. With Nate's help, we will prevail. Thanks again.

Really, tons of people followed my guide correctly and face no problem. Whenever someone face a problem, we fixed in the guide, but most of the problems are because people can't even read TEXT correctly.

Instead of wasting many days struggling, just spend one hour to read the guide word by word and done. You can follow Rehabman's suggestion in #8 to post the EFI folder so that we can point out what you did wrong.

I think there should be one more sticky (I know would be useless) or a section in the guide to give people a glance at Clover architecture like EFI partition folder structure, config.plist location, F4 does nothing but putting original ACPI tables in EFI etc. This should be "I agree terms and conditions" type thing before entering this forum LOL

Hello. I have finally gotten to the installer screen, but now it is grey with spinning orb. Any particular fix for this? Thanks in advance. I have read and followed this tutorial to the letter. It the efi folder is the easiest part to configure IMO. Perhaps the files for HP Probook are outdated for Yosemite 10.10.2 or something. Also when booting -v I can see "please switch to XPC or bootstrap-check-in () ...endpoint has been activated through legacy (3) APIs. The reason I was not getting to the installer in the first place was the usb port I was using. In the future, don't assume everyone doesn't put a lot of effort into following your instructions. This is the only time my attempt at Hackintoshing has failed me.

"please switch to XPC or bootstrap-check-in () ...endpoint has been activated through legacy (3) APIs" is normal.

About spinning orb, you have to use other port/flash drive combination and try again.

Those files are outdated, but still work well until 10.11.

Up and running like never before! The whole problem stemmed from downloading "the required files" from dropbox. Rather than download them individually, I downloaded the whole folder. This caused an issue with efi, EFI, and EFI-1. After getting everything in the right EFI folder, success. In short, if the tutorial had said to individually download Clover and Config before the link to the required files, I would have never had this problem. This was the case with the Config folders as well. At any rate, everything is working flawlessly! Furthermore, I was able to rectify sign in issues with your instructions. One happy Yosemite user.

When you download the folder of required files from dropbox, be sure NOT to use the already extracted efi or EFF-1, CONFIG-1 or anything already extracted. As a matter a fact, move them to the trash and extract the 2 zips included. Then you will have the proper EFI and Config files to continue with the tutorial. The 2 files you need to extract are Clover.zip and Config.rar. Once again do not mess with anything else.

Sorry for touching an old topic.
long time ago, I try to install Yosemite on MBR and use Chameleon boot and success with Probook Installer Mod in French Forum.
With this kexts and some options, my Probook 4530s works well 99%.
That screen is same with this image. If you need this installer, please search google or contact with me via skype [email protected]

Recommend new Clover guide.

I used UniBeast-5.2.0 and MultiBeast-Yosemite-Edition-7.5 to install Yosemite and ProBook Installer 6.1.13r3.pkg but only part of it. Then Kents where (Sound)VoodooHDA_291_SSE_KemalALKIN_2019_FULL_Pack_Edited, (Wireless and Bluetooth) Intell Wireless(Atheros AR5B195). Everything is working but Show the Battery Even the SDCard Works.

For Probook/EliteBook/Zbook, read post #17.
