The lack of participation here is sickening.
Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I'm far from being an expert in this area, so I just do what I can.

May be I ask a stupid question, but I was sure that this build-in Intel audio controller is a software one, isn't it? In any case when I updated BIOS everything was reset.

I'll look for someone with the sane laptop and will give it a test.

Not sure what you mean by "audio controller is a software one"... Audio not possible with software alone. It requires audio hardware to output sound through the electronics.

There are people here that have this series of laptops (EliteBook/ProBook G3 Skylake), but there is hardly any participation/communication between those that do. Good luck in your quest to round them up.

I guess that's because I don't get email notifications when you respond my posts. That's why I reply with a big delay. I have to check not just my inbox, but also tomymacx86.com for notifications. Obviously that after people make things done, they stop checking the website for message notifications.

There are options on the site for subscribing to threads. I don't use them...

In my profile all of them are turned on. I should get notified about everything, but I'm not.

Like I said, I don't use thread subscriptions, so no experience with it...

Nice to hear... usually just problem reports here.

I have tried rebuilding the cache and booting without it in tandem multiple times after uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and utility.

http://www.tp-link.us/download/TL-WN725N_V2.html#Driver

I recently realized that it works with any closed network of which I know the credentials. It works with my phone's hotspot for instance since I need to type a password to get on it. Any open WiFi that may have a captive portal behind does not connect.

Please note that USB WiFi is not recommended. Read post #1.
