Alright just for completeness sake, and to officially mark this solved, thought I'd wait a bit before reporting back.
So, for the last 10 days since I've replaced BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext and BrcmPatchRAM2.kext with BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext, I haven't had even one issue with BT; comes back after sleep every time. I've extensively used my headset, way more than regular, done 2 cold boots about 3 days apart, and of course the laptop goes to sleep/wakes at minimum 5 times a day.
About 3 days ago, I even re-downloaded and have been using Android File Transfer (used bluetooth for all my transferring needs the week prior; flawless), and there isn't anything to complain about.
I'm sure while a lot of hackintoshes definitely benefit from BrcmFirmwareRepo and BrcmPatchRAM2, the Elitebook 8470p without a doubt, works much much more reliably with basic injection.
Also, I've noticed that my webcam doesn't stop working after sleep anymore either—never, may be some link there. It's like having all the stability/reliability from Yosemite back Only deviations from the guide I've done are keeping FireWire enabled, and also automatic wake when lid is opened (convenience for the win!). Powernap also works great, without passing any darkwake flags on boot.
Just for reference:
So anyone with the same vendor/product ID, suffering from bluetooth issues, I'd highly recommend at least _trying_ the injector kext, nothing to lose.
Thanks again a TON, to Rehabman, I wouldn't have been able to make it work without him
