Hi!

I successfully installed Yosemite on my ProBook 4530s (Dual Boot with W10) but my WiFi card (RT3592) doesn't work.

I bought, thanks to a thread on this site, a new WiFi card (AR5B195) on eBay but it doesn't work, I get an error of the BIOS saying that it has disabled the WiFi card because it wasn't compatible with my hardware. (Latest bios)

I tried to rebrand it but I don't understand how it works so I give up on this.

So I'd like to know where I can buy a WORKING WiFi card for this ProBook because I don't want to spend my money again on a useless card.

By the way, if you know a french site or a french seller, it would be perfect!

Thank you. :)

It has specific part# for the HP AR5B195.

"Here is the list of recommended compatible wifi cards:
- HP Probook 4x30s: the laptop has whitelist BIOS, so only usable card is HP-branded Atheros AR5B195. You can also use a rebranded AR5BHB92 (AR9280).

[...]

WIFI+BT: AR5B195 (not recommended), Broadcom 43225HMB/4352HMB (better OS X feature support)"

I don't know how this can help me..

I don't know how this can help me..

The key is you need an "HP branded" AR5B195. It is HP part# 593127-001.

Personally, I would rebrand an AR9280, since bluetooth on the AR5B195 is near useless and the AR9280 will have better WiFi (5ghz).

But the AR5B195 that I bought was selled as "HP branded/HP compatible"...

As I said, I don't understand how the rebranding process works, I tried but either I get an error, either the eeprom software doesn't start..

It seems you have a valid complaint for the seller.

Keep in mind rebranding must be done on a computer without a whitelist.

Can I do the rebranding on an Acer computer? (AO751)

Depends on whether the computer has a whitelist, and whether it can accept a half-mini PCIe WiFi card.
