Hi

El Cap, using cloverHDMI, sound over HD530 displayport to my monitor works great. I use volume-mixer app to adjust the volume which makes the whole thing work awesome.

If I put the monitor (not the computer) to sleep, and wake it up, the sound stops. I have to go into volume mixer, select another output, then re-select displayport and it starts working again.

Any way to get rid of this problem? Or maybe have a script solution or something that would auto-switch the output everytime the monitor wakes from sleep?

Thanks!

Hello, i have some trouble getting my sound to work after switching from chimera to clover on my old maverick system. I've been reading and reading and probably messing something up because with the same EFI folder i can boot a fresh install of maverick and everything works. Do you know what kext or files i could eventually copy from my working install to the broken one to get my audio back ?

Thanks

Unlikely to work, better to fix what is broken.

Hello Toleda. Installed Hackintosh(El Capitan) 3 days ago. My onboard audio, realtek 892, is working fine, courtsey you. But the Intel HD 4400(Desktop) HDMI audio isn't working. Tried many guides, but to no use. And i'm a nOOb. Don't know how to patch SSDT and DSDT. Also my mac is on MBR partition, so can't mount EFI partition(not able to do many things due to this problem). Could you please tell me shortly about installing HDMI audio?
Thank you for your patience.

If you installed 892 audio, EFI had to be mounted. HDMI audio, see Post #1/HDMI Audio AppleHDA/cloverHDMI

I followed everything in the guide(Installed SSDT and did framebuffer edit in the config.plist). And the HDMI/Display port appeared in the System information but not in the sound section of System Preferences. But Rehabman's guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/ had mentioned that layout-id of HDAU should match that of HDEF's. That's what finally solved the problem for me!!
Thanks a lot to both of you!!

Followed cloverhdmi guide. Worked first try.
Thank you.

No patches, no hdmi audio. No files, no idea.

Hey Toleda,
it's been a while since my last post as I've been busy but I wanted to give this another try to see if I can get working HDMI audio.
As said before I don't have a discrete GPU, still coverHDMI seems to be looking for one. But from what's in the guide I understand that it should be working with only the integrated GPU (iGPU), is that correct?

If so, then let me start over:
I followed you guide and removed all arbitrary entries from the config.plist.
Do you mind having a look at my report files to see if I'm good to go and run your cloverHDMI script?

thanks a lot
Laurens
