HDMI out is working, but I can't get 4K output on my PHL BDM4065 (HDMI 1.4). It's maxed at 2048 x 1080. Any idea why?

I do get 3440 x 1440 on my LG 34UM95.

4k requires appropriate framebuffer patches (connector must be HDMI type <00 08 00 00>) and will likely require the patch for IOKit (pixel clock patch).

Might be better result with 4k over DP instead of HDMI.

I have no experience with 4k monitors. The "early adopter penalty" is still to high.

Thanks for the pixel clock patch. That was an easy one! I installed it, reboot and voila! http://imgur.com/2hQZKt8

Awesome.

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"
