NVIDIA has released alternate graphics drivers for OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. These are separate from the drivers Apple ships as standard, and should be considered experimental. These drivers have been known to solve OpenCL issues with certain applications, as well as providing better native GPU power management for certain devices.

NOTE: These drivers are currently the only method to get full acceleration for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750, 750 Ti, 950, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti, and TITAN X 'Maxwell' graphics cards. There are no current Macs with these cards, so support is absent natively in OS X.

If you've installed the drivers before, you may get a notification to update to the new drivers from the built in System Preferences pane.

How to Install the Web Drivers:
In order to use the alternate drivers on a CustoMac, you must first install the driver package. Also make sure to choose NVIDIA Web Driver using the standard menubar or system preference pane then reboot.

If drivers do not initiate, add nvda_drv=1 to Clover config.plist under Boot > Arguments.

Why nvidia gives drivers us so fast? There are so many mac with nvidia not supported natively?

I doubt nVidia actually don't have to update their web driver every time OSX updated, maybe the only thing they need to do is change the supporting version number to the latest, I don't know why they manage web driver this way, let the people beg for driver once in a while?

Don't update yet if you need these drivers. Doesn't work with GTX970 windforce.

Killed my 960 support... Any ideas what to do? causing monitor switch off on boot. EmuVariable still there and everything worked fine last update

Oh man. My audio is gone.
I know that my driver is supposed to be ALC1150 for a Z97-UD3H Gigabyte MB. I've tried to regain audio with Multibeast but it still doesn't show the proper output device. View attachment 203881

On another note, what do you use to skin your app windows?

I haven't been able to use system audio on my Z97x-UD5H for a few versions, i use an external DAC now and get far better audio anyway. Used the Audioengine, Sound Blaster, and the HyperX ones with great success. I have tried the CloverALC with marginal success.

To be honest, I genuinely suspect Nvidia are just sort of 'passively' supporting hackintosh users. I don't believe that many legitimate Mac users need these drivers.
