That's how it shows on my box, I believe it's because it's unsigned. With that said if I remove it from /L/E the USB 3.0 ports no longer work. Don't have an explanation...
hi,I follow your method to install 10.11.5, but now give card in the PCI Configuration on the error. I try to use npic = 2000, but I can't. My configuration is GA X99M - game-5 + E5 2673(ES is show) V3 + HD6870 . Excuse me why is likely to be stuck? thank you

I'm running into a roadblock on install of 10.11.5 on this board, I get past the Clove boot screen attempting initial installation, and I seen the rundown of commands being executed, for about 10 seconds, then reboot, each time. Couple notes and questions:
- When downloading all the required files, there are two links each that download zip files titled EFI Installer and EFI System; I've tried both EFI Installer folders on the Unibeast USB with the same result with both... which to use?
- I tried to match the settings from the OP in the BIOS but the bios version must be different because my BIOS screen looks vastly different. Most of the options are the same, but for instance, the OP says "I run Clover UEFI and want CMS disabled so unlike the Asus boards we need a different way to choose "Other OS", set these options:" but doesnt state the alternative, I'm used to disabling CMS on Asus Boards but can't see where the relevant option is chosen here.
- My setup FWIW is the x99 matx Gaming5 / Xeon 2697v4 (i'm already concerned about OS recognition and issues related) / 4x8GB DDR4 3200 DDR4 (running at 2133 because while the board supports 3200, and the chip supports 2400, the machine fails to boot on anything by 2133 with this setup... not my biggest concern at the moment)
- I can't boot with XMP enabled, so I don't, I assume this isn't the problem.

Any help on the reboot issue is appreciated... I'm anxious to see what 18 cores can do.

I didn't bother with El Capitan until i7-5960x was supported. When I finally upgraded in May I lost USB 3.0 capability, no matter what I tried (Clover entries, DSDT/SSDTs, patched kexts, etc). At best, only the front ports (through the internal USB headers) were recognised as USB 3.0, the others run as USB 2.0. As this is the main machine, I will give it another go only once I finish work.

I'd like to "bump" my previous post, which doesnt seem to get much love, but also, has anyone installed with the latest BIOS for this motherboard (not referenced in the OP) and installed 10.11.6? It's gone haywire for some boards, but im curious if it will provide any advantages on ours?

The F22 bios works fine, also both 10.11.6 and Sierra both run nicely. You didn't get a reply to your post because this guide wasn't intended for 18 core cpu's.

Ouch, I wasn't trying to hijack the thread, I thought questions like mine were what the thread is for. Is the CPU that big a deal? I loaded 10.11.4 on a dual CPU Supermicro X99 with 2x2699v4, with alot of issues, but boot wasnt one of them.

With this board and the behavior (though admittedly generic) is CPU compatibility a reason for reboot that early in the process?

I don't see any conversation 'bout hijacking the thread. If you have done any research you know that for the past 18mths no one has been able to get a X99 cpu with over 6 cores working in El Cap. Recently a guy over at IM came up with a patch that now has the 5960X working, but I don't know if it works on cpu's past 8 cores. With that said I don't understand trying to run a 18 core workstation cpu in a X99 gaming MB anyway, but i don't need to. Luck with your project...

Easy upgrade... Use Clover r3676 or newer and don't use FakeCPUID..
