Hi RehanbMan,

I give up the Lenovo Yoga2 and purchased a 2nd hand, followed your post for my HP Elitebook 820 G1, i5-4300u, 1366x768. Everything was smoothly success excepted Audio.

After 10.11.3 setup, Audio was not show up until I boot without cache, it show up and no sound, I have done rebuild cache and reboot, it disappear again same after reboot many times. I upgraded to 10.11.5 now but everything same (boot without cache show up with no sound then rebuild cache, disappear after many times reboot)

I enclosed the output, ioreg, and Clover config in the ZIP and appreciate if you can help!
I also kept the output when it was 10.11.3 if you will need them.

thank you very much!
Kent

Read post #1, "Known Problems", "Audio". Rebuild cache exactly as mentioned.

Hi, RehabMan!
After copying the config.plist from the repo to EFI/Clover/config.plist,
Code (Text):

cd ~/Projects/probook.git
cp ./config/config_4x30s.plist /Volumes/EFI/EFI/Clover/config.plist

I restart laptop. But
loading cut off in the middle of loading indicator

My final config.plist:

Boot verbose, show photo. Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

It is clear you didn't follow this guide.

You should have only FakeSMC.kxt, VoodooPS2Controller.kext, and RealtekRTL8111.kext. And all kext should be in 'Other'. The version specific directories should be removed.

drivers64UEFI is wrong. This guide uses OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi not OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi.

If this is not a fresh install following this guide, you should probably start over and follow the guide as written...

Read post #1, "Known Problems", "Audio". Rebuild cache exactly as mentioned.

RehabMan, thank you!
Audio: After installing new/updated kexts or after the initial installation, you may lose audio.

1st attempted: Power up and boot without cache, audio icon not shown, at 2nd time reboot it show audio icon but no sound, then reboot again 2 more rounds but audio icon not shown up.
2nd attempted: boot without cache got audio icon but no sound, reboot 4 times audio not show up. Power off and on but no luck.
3rd attempted: reboot without cache, no audio appear then reboot 4 times still no luck.

Am I missed any step below I copy from post 1?

To fix:
- reboot without caches (hit space at Clover, select without caches)
- rebuild cache
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /
- reboot normally (if needed, two times)

I keep trying with multi-combination:
Shutdown - boot without cache - rebuild cache , reboot up to 4 cycles and everytime no icon show up
shutdown - boot without cache - rebuild cache , shut down and boot x 4 cycles, everytime no icon show up
shutdown - boot without cache - rebuild cache x 2 cycles, shut down and boot x 4 cycles, everytime no icon show up.

then I back to normal:
shut down - boot without cache - rebuild cache, reboot x 2, but still no luck

I forgot to mentioned that, I won't have wifi module installed because it still on the way. Will it affect the audio?

thank you again and appreciate your help!

Read the guide carefully. You must boot without caches, then rebuild cache (as per post #1), then reboot.

You should see AppleHDA.kext listed in the kextcache output. If you don't, there is something wrong with your audio kexts. In that case, run the OS X installer to restore your kexts to vanilla.

Hi, Do you have any recommended guide for installing windows 10 on another partition? Or can I just do it the normal way, install it on the partition and then install clover UEFI ??

Thanks RehabMan, I'm going to buy it.

Can I ask one more question? :) Is there any solution for hibernation problem? I also have a problem with standby, after waking up the display flickers. It would be good, if the notebook would going to the hybernation mode after closing and wake up when opening. There is an option in the BIOS to wake up when opened, but it do nothing.

Hibernation should be disabled if you followed this guide. Are you actually referring to sleep?

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

Hello RehabMan,
hibernation is disabled and yes, i followed this guide, it's the best, thanx for that. I just wanted to know, maybe it's possible to use hibernation meanwhile.
Stand by is the actual problem for me, if I do not use the notebook a few minutes, it goes into standby and when I activate it again, the display flickers, especially when I move the mouse. Do you have any idea?
Unfortunately sometimes I have another problem when I start the notebook, the mouse and the keyboard are not working. After restart it's ok again.

- drivers64UEFI -
FSInject-64.efi
HFSPlus.efi
HPFanReset.efi
OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi
OsxFatBinaryDrv-64.efi

- kexts -

BrcmPatchRAM2.kext
FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext
FakePCIID.kext
FakeSMC.kext
RealtekRTL8111.kext
VoodooPS2Controller.kext
VoodooPS2Daemon

P.S: Signature updated :)

Dual boot is covered in post #2 of the main laptop Clover guide.
