10.11.4+ Skylake Starter Guide

Hello,
I'm successful installed 10.11.5 on a Dell Optiplex 7440 (Skylake core i5 i6500) by follow this guide from this topic.
I have the GPU HD530 work well thanks to Intel Inject bit, BUT, I have no Ethernet, no WiFi, no audio although all kexts and patchs I tried... not very funny.

For each kext that I tried to load manually, console said : "kext signature failure override allowing invalid signature".
I setted CsrActiveConfig to 0x03 to allow system to load unsigned kexts, after reboot, it's change nothing, impossible to load kexts.

Clover Configurator > Rt Variables > BooterConfig and CsrActiveConfig

Relevant user options for SIP are as follows:
csr-active-config 0x0 = SIP Enabled (Default)
csr-active-config 0x3 = SIP Partially Disabled (Loads unsigned kexts)
csr-active-config 0x67 = SIP Disabled completely

I also setted kext-dev-mode=1 (old way to disable SIP), it's same.
I read a lot pages and try a lot things ... please help me !

This is great job you are doing. Thank you for patience:)
I need more help.
After boot/restart i have to turn off and on my monitor (very often)
USB 3 does not work, and USB2 is stucky.
After computer wake from sleep mode, audio is not working.

Iam afraid of installing kexts and other stuff when Iam that far:)

Success!

I got it working by installing with my R9 280X removed from the system. Works great, especially after upgrading Clover - that fixed display driver issues and the half memory problem.

My next step will be to add the Radeon R9 280X. It's from my previous Mac Pro. Will it being a mac firmware card make any difference to how I add it?

When I tried to add it previously, the boot would get 2/3rds of the way through, there would be a white flash and the display would freeze. With or without internal GFX enabled.

So close!

I have two problems:

1. Audio still doesn't work. Which config.plt file should I edit? There are three of them. And where do I put the code?
2. I can't get my Nvidia drivers to install. They are installed, but "Default OS X drivers" are chosen, when I switch it asks me to restart the computer. I restart using Clover and nothing is changed.

Any suggestions?

Hi guys, sorry but I'm a real noob at this, having said that as a test I put a second SSD in my sons older gigabyte system yesterday put in the usb drive and an hour later he has OSX running!! Thanks to the site owner and to everyone for making that so straightforward. But now I'm stuck on my own system:

I have i7 6770k, Gigabyte Z170MX Gaming 5 using internal Graphics Intel 530, 64Gb Memory and this may be the issue I don't know, but I'm using a Samsung Pro 950 M2 Sata SSD.

At the clover screen I only have the USB option, shows no SSD (which is why I think I might need a driver?) and the progress bar sits at Zero after the Apple logo comes up. I've read so much here on the forums about adding this and that to the Plist files that I'm simply on overload!

If anyone could help me in a simplified way, not a noob at computers but deffo at this hackintosh malarky! many thanks in advance........

You should be able to reach the OS X installer but without the GenericNVMe.kext Disk Utility won't see the drive. Driver and install location here http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/os-x-driver-for-nvme-m-2-solid-state-drives-released.181387/
If you are unable to reach the installer, boot verbose (-v) and take a clear picture where it stops and attach it.

ISSUE WITH INTEL LAN I218-V

Hi,

i really have an issue with this NIC on my ASUS Z170 Gaming Pro.

No matter which driver i use
- Mausi v2.1.0d0/3
- AppleIntelE1000e v3.2.4.2/3.3.1/3.3.3
i always get a running LAN connection but VERY slow.
ping about seconds not miliseconds.
i can see my network participants like nas, aiport other other computers.
but the ping is horrible.
everything else works fine.
i also applied the common and recommended BIOS settings.
i changed cables.
i excluded the switch by directly connecting my macbook air.

does anyone have the same issue?

thanks in advance

moik
